If Igbos were not here then Nairalanders woud be able to discuss issues productively and intelligently rather than what obtains whereby you igbos drown every thread in insults, idiocy, curses and offensive utterances against others who have done you no wrong.

All you people do is dumb down this forum and all discussions in it.

If a reasonable person, you should ask yourself why it is mainly Igbos vehemently takng offence to a Yoruba King endorsing and praying for a Nigerian Presidential candidate of his choice.

You guys go too far and the excessively offensive behaviour is from you people alone of the many ethnic groups who are members of this forum. You all don't even recognize your own aberrant nature. Feel sorry for you all.

When stupid afonjas keep opening threads on lgbos, inviting themselves into lgbo threads claiming they hve the rights, lgbos too must repay u back. Like i said i dare seun to ban all lgbos commenting, lets check something

Igbos are too much. Too hateful, too insultive, too foul-mouthed, too jobless, too confused, too homeless/stateless, too identity-challenged, too envious and too malevolent towards others.

Even before you open the thread you know it will be them hatefully contributing 99% of the post despite being only 1 of the over 300 ethnic groups of Nigeria. Pure madness.

I don't know why mods won't curb their nuisance behavior here. These people are simply a nuisance to other Nigerians online and offline.

The next President, at the very least, must restructure Nigeria so we can all build from our regional bases and the SW can be rid of the menace of Igbos.

You asked the question without reflecting on it. If your tribe has passed through what the Igbo have been put through by Nigeria, you would even be worse than them. The problem with you Nigerians is that you want justice but you don't want to extend that to go round. As long as yours is fine, nothing else should matter.

Until you all understand that the spirits of the Igbo are clamouring for justice in a country where they have contributed the most, the issue will get worse.

I am really baffled at the hypocrisy you lot exhibit.

The new nation called Nigeria should be an estate of our great-grandfather, Uthman Dan Fodio. We must ruthlessly prevent a change of power. We use the minorities of the North as willing tools and the South as a conquered territory and never allow them to rule over us, and never allow them to have control over their future.
Ahmadu Belo.

We indigenous people of Nigeria ;living in diaspora ;
Nigerians in diaspora remit $65.34bn in three years;( Mostly Southern Nigerians)We are united in fighting injustice ;freedom and bad government in Nigeria; hand in hand ;currently we are making donations for legal services for Igboho; We dont discriminate ;WE WANT UNITY NOT DIVISION;
NDIGBO ARE INDIGENOUS IN 11 STATES In Nigeria, the Igbos are found in the southeastern part of the country. They have five states, Imo State, Enugu State, Abia State and Ebonyi State Igbos make of 100% of the indigenous population in these states. Anambra State has about 96% of Igbo population because she has a minority ethnic group called Igalla in the state. They have some of them in Delta State has about 35–40% of Igbos, Edo State has Igbanke people with are also of Igbo extraction. Rivers have around 40- 42% of Igbos as indigenes. Akwa Ibom also have Ndoki people who are also of Ibo extraction. There are also some Igbo people in Benue State because she shares a border with Enugu State so some part of this state have Igbos also. So Igbos are found in 11 states of Nigeria as indigenes, some of them as majority while others as minority.Indigenous Igbos of Kogi East

Igbo is among the top three largest ethnic group in Nigeria and top ten largest ethnic in Africa. Igbo has the population of about forty five million people in Nigeria.
It's not surprising that the Igbos are indigenous to North Central (Benue and Kogi).
Most non Igbos do limit Igbo nation to only South East but I have to remind them that South East is just half of Igbo land. Igbo nation cut across South East, Some parts of South South and some parts of Kogi East and Benue South. It's not surprising that Igbos are indigenous to North Central because of their huge population..
Kogi East is the largest senatorial district in Kogi state both by land Mass and population.
Over the years there has a false impression by non Kogi East indigenes, that Igalas are the only ethnic groups in the senatorial district.
This claim has become truth at some point but it might surprise you that Kogi East which has land mass of about 13,000-14,000 km² has about four ethnic groups though Igala has the largest Population.
Apart from Igalas, other ethnic groups that are indigenous to Kogi East are Igbo, Idoma, Bassa Nge and Ebiras. In fact it has been proved that Hausas are indigenous to Kogi East, they are mostly found at the Ankpa and Angwa in Idah.
It's not also surprising why Kogi East has the largest Population in Kogi state because of their multi ethnic nature.
The indigenous Igbos of Kogi state occupy so many communities. Some of these communities are Akpanya and Eke Avurugo in Igalamela/Odolu LGA, Nwajala, Anapiti, Anocha, Umuoye, umuobu changed to Omabo etc in Ibaji LGA. The names of the aforementioned communities are Igbo names.
Note: that indigenous Igbo communities in Ibaji LGA are bilingual because they have stayed long in Kogi state. But those in Igalamela/Odolu LGA speak predominantly, Igbo language, only very few speak Igala which they learnt from their Igala neighbours.

The indigenous Igbos of Kogi state are fastly been deigbonized because of fear of domination since they are minority in the state. Secondly the negligence on the side of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the Igbo sociocultural group. Has made them to be adopting Igala as their new identity.
For instance Akpanya monarch has the title "Eze" Akpanya but recently there's a move to change the name to an Igala title. If this switching of Igbo identity for another identity is not stopped, in few years coming the extension of Igbo nation in Kogi East will be wiped out.
It's important to know that Ohanaeze Youth Council led by Igboayaka O Igboayaka has said in the past that they are doing everything possible. To connect indigenous Igbos of Kogi state back to their root. And they are going to make sure that Ohanaeze Ndigbo establishes a connection with the indigenous of Kogi state.

Onowu Igbo.

Keep saying whatever your Fulani masters have told you about Ndigbo; Ndigbo aint a small enclave; Large ethnic Igbo populations are found in Cameroon, Gabon, and Equatorial Guinea, as well as outside Africa.
Let us unite and be respectful to one another.
Ndigbo are not land locked either;
According to Wikipedia, a landlocked state or landlocked country is a sovereign state entirely enclosed by land, or whose only coastlines lie on closed seas. Now, that we have known what a Landlocked country is, I will explicitly explain why Igboland is not landlord. Let's go.1. River Niger, one of the two largest inland water bodies in Nigeria passes through Igboland connecting the two most important cities in the region, Asaba and Onitsha together. River Nigeria then journeys downwards relentlessly through other Igbo villages down to the Niger Delta where it empties itself into the Atlantic Ocean.

You all should understand that there's a difference being landlocked and having access to the sea. A big difference. For instance, the London area is completely landlocked but London still controls much of the UK shipping activities through the several river ports built on the River Thames. River Thames runs through the centre of London, emptying itself into the ocean.Igboland doesn't stop with only Abia, Imo, Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi. There are huge population of the Igbo People in Delta and Rivers State. In fact, Igboland stretches to Igbanke in Edo state, Umuezekaoha in Benue and as far as Port Harcourt, known hitherto as Igwe Ọcha, Opobo and Bonny in Rivers State. Opobo which just lies close to the Atlantic Ocean was founded by an Igbo man called Mbanaso Ozurumba, otherwise known as King Jaja. Are you shocked? The town today has both the Igbo speaking parts and Ibani speaking parts.Even in the South East, we have big beaches in Obuaku Ndoki which came about as a result of the confluence of Imo river and the Azumini Blue River. Obuaku port when functional is just 25 nautical miles from the Atlantic ocean. We also have Ndibe beach in Ebonyi. Oguta Lake, if dredged can accommodate big ships. All these bodies of water are navigable routes to the Atlantic ocean. Even the Imo River if dredged can be of great importance to a direct access to the sea status of Igboland. When the Alaoji Power Project was being constructed, the heavy machines and equipment were ferried across the Imo river down to Aba.Armed with the following points above, I believe you would be able to explain to folks who believe that Igboland is Landlocked.
Thank you.

You think you can hide behind vague excuses about "injustice" to go around offending others without consideration for how they feel?

You want the right to insult and demean others because of "injustice" done against you yet you cannot see that what you are doing is unjust as well to those who have never been involved in any injustice against Igbos.

Think about what you want to say, to see if such makes sense, before typing.

This your essay is very lengthy here. I have seen several articles written by different Igbo groups.

My disappointments are not with people making mockery of Alaafin on nairaland because this is not the first time Alaafin will be ridiculed. In 2014 , the late Oba of a prominent South South town where the indigenes celebrate their Oba as a living god also said the ancestors are behind Jonathan but Jonathan lost. The only difference was that while the Oba said his ancestors are with Jonathan, Alaafin Oyo (Iku Baba Yeye) insisted Jonathan is not coming back to power as Alaafin openly stood with Buhari. At the end Buhari won.

My disappointments are with this present Afenifere, Gani Adams and some Yoruba activists and Journalists. They have no jobs other than to pull Yoruba down for the benefits of other tribe . Late TB Joshua spoke about this some years ago. Yoruba's failed to heed to Ogunde' call, failed to heed to TB Joshua's call and now Prof is calling through I O O .

Awolowo, Abiola and our traditional institutions cannot be ridiculed while Afenifere and Gani Adams are thinking in another direction. Yorubas must think.

Think about what you want to say, to see if such makes sense, before typing.

That's what we are saying. If he were a man with a conscience, he wouldn't embark on this foolhardiness and tomfoolery.

It does not matter what you say. He ain't gonna make it. If by chance he wangles his way, he won't still have it. Save this discussion for future reference. You all confirm the cliche that common sense is not common after all.
