It is very common in parliamentary systems for leaders to come from different parties. The party simply needs to be aligned ideologically. The Deputy Governor was removed simply because he refused to defect. That is not enough reason for impeachment. You have to be guilty of gross misconduct or abuse of office to be guilty of impeachment. The governor should have simply waited for the DG to see out his tenure and pick a different running mate in the next election. Impeaching an elected official over party difference is abuse of power
