This is bizarre!

For someone who claims to represent the monarch to shamelessly make these threats publicly, it reveals the extent to which lawlessness has been enshrined in our systems across rhe country.

Some of these "Kings" forget they were defeated by the british and the only reason they are still Kings is because the British needed them for errand boy administration of the natives......This applies to all Kings in Nigeria. they forget that they are employees not Kings!!! King that governor can remove, King that by law requires permission from local govt chairman before he leaves his "Kingdom"!

if you had any self respect you would have taken a PJ. How can you demand a scheduled airline to change it's itinery because of you!!!

What exactly is wrong with these Monarchs? You mean the country should stand still until you arrive because you are the commander in chief or what? Isn't this an abuse of privilege that makes this country so corrupt? Has Ganduje apologised for making a mess of the "Kano Monarch"?

This is even bringing ridicule to the Kano traditional institution which Air Peace wanted to protect. The supposed pilot making this noise should start his own airline and fly his Monarch.

Ideally, airlines are not meant to delay or cancel flights without tendering apologies to their customers, just that we overlook too many things in Nigeria.

From the look of things, the Emir's cousin is a pilot and he knows the rules which he can use against Allen Onyema's Air peace and get the airline sanctioned, so the ideal thing would be for Air peace management to tender the apology to not only the Emir but everyone affected.
Nigga knows nothing despite claiming to be a pilot. You don't delay a commercial flight for up to an hour for a passenger that's is late.

What are you saying?

Do you realize that it was the Emir that allegedly wanted Airpeace to delay a flight that was already prepared to take off?

If Airpeace's side of the story is true, then they absolutely do not need to apologise. Should they apologise to the Emir for coming behind schedule?

Who cares if the Emir's cousin is a pilot? If Airpeace has done nothing wrong as they claim, them they shouldn't apologise publicly. They should resolve the situation in private.

Modified: I just read Bayero's reply. If truly it was Air Peace that delayed the Emir's flight from Banjul to Lagos, then they should find a way to resolve this. They should apologise if they need to because that's the genesis of this whole thing.

Both parties should be sincere and own up to their faults. There's no need to fight over this.

Your mouth dey smell.

Airpeace neither delayed flights nor did they cancel flights that the Emir wanted to board. The bone of contention here is that Airpeace refused to delay the flight for the Emir hence an "insult" to the Emir. But there is nothing wrong in flying on schedule.

On the case...the request made by the Emir's entourage was risky. You cannot, i repeat...cannot stop a plane once it is in the taxiing mode.

Yet that is what they wanted to do. Air peace was right to deny their request.

Air peace even offered them free pass on the next flight self. More than they do for regular passengers. And they still refused

A similar thing happened in South Korea. The daughter of the founder and CEO of an airline ordered a plane in taxi mode back into the hangar because 'she did not get her fave brand of peanuts, or something). That nearly caused a crisis at the airport and put people at risk. The woman who was also an exec at the airline, had to apologise, and was punished by the law. What she did was wrong.

Air peace acted in good faith.

Don’t mind the people.

As a revered monarch, why not get a private jet?

Customer is always right INDIVIDUALLY not at the EXPENSE of OTHERS. This was not a chartered flight by an individual for him and his entourage. There were others.

Besides the above, no matter who the customer, there are laid down fair business, social and ethics rules you have to follow. If you want preferential treatment, then do insider job or get through the backdoor without the public knowing to avoid scrutiny, criticism, backlash, etc.

For the sake of peace, air peace should give them the apology. But once that is done, they should immediately cut off all flying route to kano. Its issues like this that hinder our growth as a nation.

Airpeace must not apologies to that man

What nonsense is this

Air Peace should apologise. People are being sentimental. There seems to be something that is not clear here. Was there an agreement between Air Peace and the plane that came from Banjul (Gambia) to pick Abuja passengers in transit from Lagos? Is Air Peace aware that Emir and 9 other Passengers were to board that time?

Why I am asking these questions; I have boarded plane in Lagos severally that was delayed because they are waiting for International passengers coming into Nigeria from another flight. They use bus to move them from International wing of MM to local wing. People working in the Airport or people with similar experience know what I am saying.

I think what happened is this.

The Emir was coming from the Gambia to Lagos through an Air Peace flight. Air Peace delayed the flight, thereby making the Emir late for his second Air Peace flight from Lagos to Kano.

Now, the Emir's houseboy told Air Peace to delay the flight from Lagos to Kano since Air Peace was the cause of the delay from Gambia to Lagos, Air Peace refused.

How can you ask an airline to delay others because of a traditional king? Is he the owner of the airline? Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Then he should go to Court and File his charges against Air Peace instead of constituting a NUISANCE on Social Media and issuing threats to Air Peace and their Customers or was he the only person that was delayed.

He can even withdraw their Patronage of Air Peace or is it by force he and his Emir must enter Air Peace or is he the first failed Pilot?

That is the story: same Air Peace delayed flight from Banjul to Lagos for hours knowing the same passengers are going to use the flight from Lagos to Kano.

Read the salient points: departure on Air Peace flight no. P47776 from Banjul to Lagos was scheduled for 00:10hrs (local time) on February 24, 2022. However, we departed Banjul at 01:19hrs and we landed at Lagos at 5:45am.

“Our connecting flight to Kano on the same Air Peace airline was for 6:15hrs. This gave us only 30 minutes to make our flight to Kano.

Read further: the airline had also demanded a no show fees for a rebooking of next flight to Kano, a request the prince described as “extreme case of insensitivity and callousness”.

Air Peace statement avoided to respond to the above damning poor customer service, hence it is glaring Air Peace is wrong and should apologize.

KosiGee:

I am lost here. Please what’s the apology for? How did the airline delay or offend the monarch.

Sorry I haven’t been following this development and couldn’t find the answers when I googled.

What’s the cause of the whole issue?

In the petition to the NCAA seen by The Nation, Bayero, popularly known as Isa Pilot, said the airline delayed their Banjul to Lagos flight by over one hour and refused to allow them to board their connecting flight to Kano because they arrived in Lagos 30 minutes before departure time.

The petition claimed that Bayero called the Air Peace Chairman, Allen Onyema, to inform him of the need to delay the airline’s morning flight to Kano because of the Banjul incident.

Bayero said: “We, 10 of us, including His Highness Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, Sarkin Kano and four other business class passengers with additional other five economy class passengers all boarded our return Air Peace flight No. P47776 from Banjul to Lagos.

“Our departure from Banjul was scheduled for 00:10hrs (local time) on 24th February 2022, however, we departed Banjul at 01:19hrs and we landed at Lagos at 5:45 am. Our connecting flight to Kano on the same Air Peace airline was for 6:15 hrs. This gave us only 30 minutes to make our flight to Kano.”

But in its response, Air Peace described the allegations as ‘deliberate falsehood’.

The airline’s Chief Operating Officer, Toyin Olajide, argued that Air Peace holds the Emir of Kano in the highest regards and contrary to the insinuation that the emir was disrespected, the airline indeed protected the image of the traditional ruler “by not succumbing to what Isa Bayero wanted us to do.”

Olajide explained if the airline had agreed to stop and delay an aircraft, already set to take-off, for another one hour only for the doors to be opened and the Emir to walk in, there would have been a very serious uproar in the media nationwide against the airline and the Emir.

“This we pleaded with Isa Bayero to understand but he refused to accept.

How could Isa Bayero want the Management of Air Peace to stop and delay a fully boarded plane with doors already shut and aircraft already moving while our respected Emir and eight others in his entourage, including Isa Bayero, were still at the international wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos after arriving from Banjul?”

She disclosed that she called Isa Bayero to explain the status and proffer a solution, which would be a win-win for the waiting passengers and the Emir, adding that they decided instead to fly the Emir and his entourage on the 7 am flight to Abuja and then from Abuja to Kano at no extra cost.

The COO added that the decision was then to fly them from Abuja to Kano still in the morning considering the next flight from Lagos to Kano was at 7: 00 pm.

“We took this decision so as to defend the image of our highly revered Emir of Kano and not as an insult as insinuated by Isa Bayero because if passengers were delayed for an hour after boarding and ready to fly and then to see the Emir and his entourage walk in, considering the pulse of the general public lately due to the general public lately due to the complaints of delays, it would not have done justice to the image and character of the Emir.

“After explaining this to Isa Bayero, he threatened that he would incite the people of Kano against the Airline if we did not stop the flight.

“When I reported this statement to the Chairman, he did not believe me and insinuated that I may not have heard him right because Isa Bayero was well acquainted with him and could not have said such.

“It is therefore to my utmost shock that we saw in the media this deliberate falsehood,” she said.

So, Air Peace should cause A SECOND, unnecessary delay just to wait for the Emir?
What about those who will be delayed unnecessarily, in that second flight, wont they also miss their next flight?
Moreover ,Air Peace has apologised to EVERYONE on that delayed Flight, so what does he want again? Maybe they should bring an Aeroplane to his backyard so the Plane can prostrate?

Anyone who wants a Flight to wait for him, should buy a Private jet, Nonsense
