Currently flight cost to the Gambia is not stable due to fluctuating dollar rate.
Last I checked it is about 250k naira with air peace one way ticket.
U must not have a hotel reservation to convince any immigration officer, this is west africa.
Immigration officers are corrupt baztards at the airport once they know u dont have a return ticket. They will ask u to pay 20$ or 40$ to stamp your passport or they detain u . U must pay something but u wont be deported good luck.

Cost of house rent doesn't have a fixed price over here, some landlords are extremely greedy, some are lenient.
It also depends on the area where you wish to reside.
Most Nigerians stay in serekunda due to proximity to the market.
People that want a soft quiet life like myself prefer to stay in Burisibi senegambia(tourist area)
In serekunda u should get s decent self con for 18000Dalasi a year.180000 in naira
In brussibi its around 300000 to 500000 in naira
Senegambia area is more expensive.

If u can sell Nigerian food stuffs here , fortune will smile at u,
Nigerian foods are extremely expensive here.
Food stuffs are costly here more than in Nigeria x5
Best market for u is serekunda market which is also the biggest in the Gambia.
To start up a business and register will cost u about a million naira. Shops are quite expensive to rent so u either pay 3 months rent or six months. In the Gambia u dont pay one year like in Nigeria, some landlords accept monthly too.

I just got to The Gambia, 4hrs flight from Lagos via air peace ticket cost 223000 one way..so if you are planning for an adventure like me .. it's not a bad destination.

Dalasi to naira is about 11 naira or 10 sometimes.
The light is super stable.
The people are nice.

Once they know u are a Nigerian my guy u go pay money tire if u don't shine your eyes.. and they treat u like a celebrity.

Honestly the environment is conducive very very.. food seems cheap, houses aren't so cheap but you can pay monthly or pay 6 months. 1 year upfront rent payment doesn't happen here unless you the tenant wants to pay upfront.

Ask me anything you wana ask I will give you first hand information.

If it's business Gambia is good not better than Nigeria due to population.

Gambia has about 2 m people, Nigeria well u already know.

You can't be rich rich here..
But you can be extremely comfortable.
Their girls are really cute, extremely dark skin like some senegalese and somalis incase you like women.

And there are alot of retired white people living here ..

They take covid 19 rules very seriously.

Did they ask for pcr test or the normal covid 19 test

Most drugs I buy here , always have Nigerian NAFDAC on it, once you register your business and meet up with some government regulations, I think you are good to go.

There are alot of ibo guys on the road selling phone accessories, some yorubas and ghanaians make Akara and road side chops , but the truth is a million naira is less than 100k dalasi.
Shops are expensive in good locations .
It all depends on what type of business you want to do exactly.

Teaching job is by far the easiest job to get in the Gambia, the salary is way better than what an average Nigerian teacher earn

Self con a single room , kitchen n toilet in city center goes for 3500 to 4500 dalasi monthly
Outside city centers 1500 to 2500 dalasi.
Rent payments depends on your agreement with the landlord, normally you pay nothing less than six months first, after six months u can start paying three months rent or monthly it all depends on the owner of the house ,
Security is really great, Gambia is the most peaceful country in the whole of western Africa.
