Thank you bro. These loan apps didn't force anyone of them to take loans. They have one accept their terms and conditions (which most won't read) before they payout any loan. So what's the fault of the loan guys? Honestly, an average Nigerian is the lite version of our politicians.

You can say that again. I see many of them on here gloating about not repaying their loans.

That was how I got into this mess too, using one loan app to pay another. The funny thing is the money started from nine or ten thousand. You start using other loan apps to pay each other and the debt keeps rising with their huge interest. Now I can't even enjoy my salary. I understand how you got into this.

Those loan app guys are criminals. Their interest rates are criminally extortionate
I once took a loan from an online outlet #4000. The interest was 2000, i.e 50%. I deliberately took that loan, I wanted to see what my defaulting to pay back was capable of attracting. They called, I took the call, the lady was like "Your debt is overdue, when are you paying" I told her I didn't know, and didn't care. And btw you have a very beautiful voice. Tell your boss to tell his boss that I won't pay."

They sent texts in thousands,I didn't even care. They threatened to to defame me, hack into my contact and inform them I was a fraudster. They were also coming to arrest me. I told them there's nothing to defame. Buhari is owing, Nigeria is also owing.
After some months, they moved from using threats and scurrilous language to entreating. They even said I could pay by installments. Installment ko, installation ni? sad Because of them I stopped taking calls from numbers I didn't have on my contact. Later they said I should pay 4000 and they will waive the accumulated interests.
"Ehen, na now una come. Send me the account number."
I transferred the money to them.
I later checked their app to know my eligibility status, or to see if I could take a higher loan. Lo and behold, I was dishonorably blacklisted.

Same with me. I'm owing four different loan apps more than 52,000. Ajeloan stopped addind their 400 daily fee for late repayment after I made a payment of 1500 by now, it would have gotten to only God knows how much

most of the students in my school are into yahoo, or crypto business, and my conscience no go gree me do am.

You need to be in the right circle to see amazing things students your age are doing. I wish I had lots of the information I have now when I was younger. You have to be intentional about your growth. Get on your social media platform, facebook is good. Follow the right people, not gossip mills. Join intellectual groups, Headstart Africa is an example. Read content, digest them and apply. If you have writing skill, take up a course that could help you hone it, then apply to Upwork for gigs. And crypto is not bad too, but there is a huge uncertainty surrounding it and you have to know your onions very well to succeed at it, so I would advice you leave that out. You have a little time on your side now, use it!

Most people don't have self control.
If loan app were not available to get easy, fast loans wount you have survived? Same thing with nigeria leadership, if china loans were not available wount we have survived?
Anyway, your best bet is to look for a relative to bail you out as friends don't assist again because people don't pay debt.
You may also dispose of an asset to pay your debt.

Chai!! You're evil I swear.
But that was really a long short you took.
Serves them right.

Fir me, owing some, told them I will pay soon. The ones that threatens me that they would send message, I tell them that the Terms & Conditions I signed while taking then loan didn't state that aspect. So they should know its litigation they are playing with. And believe me you, they normally don't come back with that threat again.

This country can never be great, just look at the comments. Do y'all think loan companies are charities? Did you not read the terms and conditions or at least the interest rate before signing? Yet we wonder why banks refuse to give out loans to just anybody.

It's one thing to be poor, it's another to be illiterate but when you're poor, illiterate and wicked..........Dem swear for una ni? Na same people go rent house wey dem no fit afford come dey fight landlord say na only 2 years dem owe no big deal.

The good news for you is that government have just crackdown some of this companies and pronounced them to be illegal operators. However, It is not a fable that many self employed nigerians have similar experiences with online loan app. They are cheeky and only want to use ponmo to collect meat from you. The cruz of the matter is that they will report you to credit of bureau and damage your credit history in a way that will turn your life into a nightmare. If it is possible to avoid loan like this; please do and explore other alternatives. Only try them as last resort.

The laugh is truelly in him.
Tell him to do a credit check( which all banks and financial institutions are linked upto). You will see his rating is negative.
No bank will give him a loan when he really needs it all because of 4k smartness.

You can now enjoy ur loot as you wanted or are you complaining about no more app to borrow from?
Abi.
Good gov has attacked them. Let them shot down the loan companies.
When people need loans, they should go to bank or microfinance with collateral. You need 20k, you will go and pack your car worth 1m and submit the documents. Lapo will come and take inventory of TV, fridge, wife and children which you will sign over before getting 50k loan. Lolz
That is what Nigerians deserve for being chronic debtors.
On the alternative, borrow for a relative and friends no de loan money again.

So distraught right now.

That's how easy buy called me yesterday that I have good credit that I should take loan up to 80k.
Ah!!

My brother you have to start somewhere
At this stage you have to accept whatever punishment they want to give you.

So while at that, try to build up a good credit by paying one after the other and also develop a habit that no matter what you won't borrow.

Yes sir.
That mentality helps if not borrowing might turn to an addiction.

My 2 cents

I just read a news on front page now, that some of these loans companies has just been closed.

Some of them you owing was involved in the list.

But my advice to you that might help a bit is try and borrow from close friends, make a list of 20 people that can gift you 2k without you refunding it. it's crowdfunding Sha. Use it and service some debts

Then sell some assets you have.

Then never borrow from them again

Then, you can learn an online skill, just as creation and sales of digital products.

just suggestions though.
I am selling a property to enable me clear all of my debts including the loan appd freedom is ptiiceless!

Take it easy on yourself man; it’s hard everywhere.

Tough situations don’t last, so your precarious moment will still pass, with time of course.

Pay all the debt as much as possible - don’t shy away from them, the loan was given to you in good faith, so return them.

Afterwards, learn from the experience and make better decision in your dealings.

Shalom!
any of the loan the interest is more than than 15%, he should not pay, the loan sharks are rubbers

1.Call the loan company tell them to restructure the loan. They would most like refuse.
Plead with Dem to stop the penalty.

2. If they refused, don't take more loans but start paying #5,000 per loan company till you liquidate your loan.

3. Download Truecaller and subscribe premium. Then block all the loan company lines.
If you should pick the call tell them you are working on paying .

4. After paying all loans. If you must take any loan again try carbon or fairmoney or meet your bank.

5. Be prepared to receive calls from people on your contact list about random messages sent to them etc.

6. Most importantly check your BP and make sure they don't threaten you into depression.

7.Better days are coming.

P.S: The Nigerian govt is also in huge debt
