SmartProf: They are jokers. Cavemen and savages from the Stone ages are better than a lot of Nigerians. A lot of Nigerians have been to school but it is as if school, knowledge and refinement never went through them. All that some Nigerians know is to tear down and destroy without a thought for the future or anyone else. Is it not obvious why Nigerian leaders, with no thoughts for the future or Nigerians and Nigeria, loot their people into poverty? Many commenting here will do same or worse if similarly placed. 1 Like |

It's not everything that you kill If we have a very good zoo system The can keep the lion inside a. Zoo and generate income when people come and view the animals inside the zoo Just like when some people killed a blue Marlin whale in BAYELSA the other time and ate it They later found out it was worth billions of naira! KILLING AND CHOPPING is a very big problem for us in NIGERIA especially AFRICA! In Europe, they found some sea turtles on the sea shore almost lifeless, they took their vet doctors and treated the turtles and returned them back to the sea, Even apart from eating their meat, there are other uses and usefulness of animals in our society, many drugs and vaccines are extracted from animals, Like snake venom, etc. Global warming, deforestation and many other climatic conditions are affecting our animals. There was a time they had serious wild bush fire in Australia, Someone said that had they usually graze animals like goats, sheep or cattle in that area, that it might have prevented the fire. He said that those animals are very good conductors of heat and electricity. Their bodies radiate the heat from their sorroundings. Even birds too, anytime there is air pollution or spread of air borne diseases like bird flu, you will start noticing birds falling from the sky. In one Hadith, one woman gave a thirsty dog water and God forgave her all her sins and she entered Paradise. In Nigeria here we don't even have enough doctors to treat human beings talkless of animals. Please let's be kind to animals #itiswell! 2 Likes 2 Shares |

mmb: Instead of getting a professional to tranquilize this lion and take it back to to the game reserve it enacted from, they resorted to the crude and archiac way of addressing the problem at hand. 1 Like |

Borno state home of all agro produce. Be it beans, rice, fish, wheat, millet, livestock etc. A state that was so blessed and rich with opportunities. But Boko boys destroyed it. May God heal this country from insecurity and selfish leaders. |

Nigeria is a zoo where it’s inhabitants continue to behave like animals. You would have expected that once wild cats have the been spotted, authorities should have been informed, and contingency plans put in place to tranquillise the animals so they can be captured and kept in zoos rather than wasted. Given that other wild cats are still lurking around, this should be the remedy. Sadly, however, clueless animals in government won’t act. Shameless lots. 1 Like |

FERNANDEZISBACK: Lion is a dangerous specie and if it's found to be in an environment that is occupied by human, it should be killed and that alone is in self defense. You don't have to wait till you or any defenseless person like a woman or a child is attacked by the ferocious beast before you kill it. Being an animal right advocate shouldn't erode common sense! 3 Likes |

FERNANDEZISBACK:this Lion will(not may) attack humans when not has the chance. A lion sighting in an area is dangerous on its own because it sees you as a good food source. So before you start pointing fingers, ask yourself, do they have the resources to successfully fend this Lion away? Do they have the health care facility to treat them well in case of emagency when someone is attacked by this same lion? Well to defend themselves they have to attack the lion first 1 Like |
