The war is on a stale mate. Russian only have the superior air power but on the ground. Ukrainian soldiers are holding their own against them. Russia hasn’t made much progress on the ground. Ukrainian President wants a no fly zone simply because Russian controls the skies but Ukraine controls the ground.

It’s still the same thing, you can’t make a progress on ground where you’re ignorant of the territory. Just like when USA invaded Iraq, America carpet bombed Iraq for days clearing everything before the ground forces moved in from Kuwait via Basra. Russia didn’t just want to do that because they want to be lenient so, they relied on google map but then and they are making progress hence, google shutdown their service in Ukraine and that’s when Russian forces started missing road hence, Ukraine forces started roasting them which of warranted the airstrikes that started recently. Ukraine should negotiate, seek military alliance with Russia and economic alliance with Europe, it will be a win win for them.
