EFCC has infringed on Obiano's fundamental rights of privacy policy, disciplinary actions by EFCC for now is immaterial for Obiano has to sue them. You can't be a judge in your own case. Can they stipulate the nature of punishment? |

EFCC is supposed to operate with a high level of confidentiality. That officer displayed gross indiscipline. It means he/she was not Properly trained. The identities of their official could have been exposed by the idiot. Dismissal is the only appropriate sanction. Please my post is not for or against Obiano. I'm only against the stupidity of an EFCC official. |

It is shameful that EFCC would ONLY distant itself from the gross misconduct of its staff which wholesomely berates both the EFCC and the Nigerian government. Since the corruption commission fails to regret or apologise for this aberration, Obiano should go ahead and sue them. That doesnt stop him from answering his corruption charges anyways! |

francotunsco: No doubt, the officer should be fired and toothless EFCC should reassess their method of operation to prevent such a thing from happening again. As for Obiano going ahead to sue EFCC is very silly. Obiano is no longer a governor, he is nothing but a civilian that is being accused of stealing…he is not different from a civilian that is being accused of stealing a cell phone. He should focus more on answering questions and defending himself. Yes, it is unprofessional for the officer to leak the video, but there is absolutely no big deal seeing Obiano in a short pant and a tshirt while in detention. zomby: Yes! Willie Obiano is no longer a governor, that is why he is running away to Texas as reported. But, his common man status like you and me doesnt strip him of right to fairness in prosecuting him. The video unduely paraded him before the whole world for an offence he is still being investigated on. Infact, in saner climes, arrest will come after investigation. His right to sue is not hinged on his °big man status° but fundamental to every commoner, sentiments apart. |
