Obviously you are not a lagosian
People live right beside that bridge
All those 3 storey apartments painted by minimie chin chin and schnapps aromatic are being occupied indigenes
we talking of apongbon not eko bridge. Immediately after the apongbon in-between the apongbon and eko bridge is where you are talking ABT. That is the only place you have resident buildings and ground, first and second floor is been occupied by traders.

We must change if we must make headway as a nation.

That area was not designed to be a market in the first place. The olowogbowo area was never designed as a market

Seriously shocked
That bridge has been compromised.
But what Market is under the bridge that will catch this kind of heavy fire? Alcohol?

Two probable causes Alcohol(Those women selling spirits and wines in cartons at that place or gas from the women frying akara under the bridge)

Wow!

This is why no one should be allowed to sell under-bridge.

So this will now cost us millions of dollars to rebuild, money that could have gone to other things, all because some idiotic bleeding-hearts will say "why are you chasing the poor away from making their daily bread".

Which other things would the money have gone into? Pls remember that the same govt collects taxes from those who own shops and who conduct businesses under the bridge

Jeez men...see what the fire did to those concrete slabs. The structural integrity of the bridge needs to be evaluated before it's use

Man made, thugs or touts trying to steal
exactly my thoughts ,the last time i visited this market around December the amount of street urchins ,touts was alarming .Honestly the government and the store owners in Lagos island need to do something about those boys and their activities and their sense of entitlement is another annoying thing one almost beat me up cause i refused to give him some tip cause i asked for directions from him .

How much do people that live under bridge pay in taxes?

Can you state the likely figure and explain how much it is in comparison to what it would cost to repair the bridge?

So why did you think you were making sense saying that "the same govt collects taxes from those who own shops and who conduct businesses under the bridge"?

What relevance is that statement? You made it without thinking?

What is the essence of your following statement:

"So this will now cost us millions of dollars to rebuild, money that could have gone to other things"

Did u make it without thinking hence your inability to answer the following question:

"Which other things would the money have gone into?"

So you don't think before you talk?
