In terms of infrastructure development,I think Sanwoolu is trying to bridge the gap between what is and what is not in Lagos. In capitalist terms ,this seems minute in the overall effort at repositioning the transport sector in Lagos. But ,if the bigger picture - the railway system, the phasing out of the misnomer Okada model, the waterways transport system et al- is factored in, then, this step is just very complementary.

Good innovation but I hope it will be adequately maintained

The deplorable state of Lagos roads, coupled with traffic, is more than enough to wreck those cars within 6 months.

UBER and BOLT drivers can testify

Stop being hateful, Lagos roads are increasingly becoming durable. Arab contractors, Hitech and Julius Bergers are the major contractors in Lagos handling road projects

This rubbish makes no sense..
An Uber driver makes average of 8k as profits daily(15k gross).. Yet this yeye lagride deducts almost 9k daily for 365 days in a year(while still deducting another 25% per trip) .. No down time at all.. How can a driver be paying back over 10 million on this Lagos road? Even if u fall sick as a driver, they will still deduct their 9k.. And these chinko cars just like the brt counterparts hardly last 6months on this Lagos roads..

Oga Sanwo olu, u no try at all

You cannot solve mass transportation in an already congested and overpopulated city like Lagos by sharing "uber taxis."

What do these silly politicians see when they travel abroad?

Don't they see an urban bus and ticketing system?

Don't they see dependable overhead and underground train systems?

Don't they see ferries and inland waterways transportation?

Are you going to convey all of Lagos in those cars? Adding even more traffic to an already congested city? If anything, a forward thinking government would be thinking of ways to get more cars off the roads of Lagos than more cars on it.

Apart from the fact that the money for most of those cars will never be recouped, this ride taxi scheme is a white elephant project that was established to enrich a few government officials by way of bogus contracts and free cars.

God bless you tremendously for echoing my thoughts! Lagos State doesn’t need more cars on her already congested and dilapidated roads. What she needs are effective and alternative means of commutation such as surface and underground train systems.

So you have not been seeing an urban bus and ticketing in Lagos State?

You guys complain a lot.

No state in Nigeria including the FCT, have a transport system that is as organise as that of Lagos State.

Yes they see that and Lagos is doing exactly that. You don’t seem to listen to news. Lagos has light rails being constructed, they have ferries, they have buses with electronic ticketing, now they are introducing taxis. I am sure if they have plenty money like U.K. they will do more. Lagos leads while others copy.

Why do y’all see this as a way of developing lagos. I only see this Lagride as a way of enriching selfish politicians. You need to go through their terms and conditions.

2. Too many cars on the road to cause more congestion which isn’t healthy in todays world.

So please how does this bring development in lagos??
