Nonsense!

That is because it isn't for crime prevention or apprehension but to tail those criticising bad leadership.

But despite the linkage, it hasn't stopped or reduce incidences of banditry, kidnapping and payment of ransom's.

So what's the whole point ?

Once the deadline is up, all those who have not been linked would be disconnected from the network.

This would cut off communication for bandits and the likes of them who have not linked.

Once they want to get comms back then they link and their real names and info would be available to the FG so once a number is tracked it is easy to get the face and name attached to it for an easy WANTED signal to be given out with same full details.

Same way the FBI does

BANDITS and BOKOHARRM registered?

You better go and link yours because once the deadline expires and all networks are asked to disconnect all those who have not linked their numbers, you, Bokoharam and bandits would all be disconnected together

How has the NIN been working in Nigeria
Terrorist una no Stop
Bandit una no stop
Kidnappers una no stop

Everything is just tripled

It would only begin to work once the deadline expires and telecoms companies disconnect all those who have not linked. Not before.

Right now they are yet to implement. Once they do, you will understand. So you better ensure you link yours

Apart from this NIN linkage to Sim situation all telecoms networks should remove the "hide number" option available to their networks.

Their should be no more unknown number callers.

Makes attaching the names and faces of those who have linked their NIN to Sim very easy

the people that bomb railway and kidnapped passengers are were they using SIM card? One thing I have noticed about this current government they will leave the main problem and be chasing shadows, order a raid on them give the military equipment and weapons to flush out Bokoharam and stop disturbing people to link NIN that don’t even have network on their server
