With all the witnesses here
I will say that what Innosen was saying is actually the fact.
They started deducting money from his account thinking he is too busy to be checking his debits.

I used to like this bank but these days I don't understand them anymore. A friend of mine was also ripped of a good amount and all they told her was to go to EFCC that her account was probably hacked.

Say ahhh!

Why then is the bank protecting their said staff from questioning? Are they trying protect the integrity of the bank or they don't want the matter to gain public attention?

Customer will never admit they revealed their details to fraudsters .. They will shield that part and look for innocent person to blame.
Don't mind most of them. They will look for who to blame for their foolishness.

You are right, it could be that someone called her pretending to be a bank staff after the real bank staff have done with her. Gave the fraudsters her OTP, next she started receiving alert over the night. Madam get a lawyer if you actually believed she did it, the bank can only send their lawyer for defence...

I feel for you but truth be told, you were careless.

The bank will always warn you never to reveal your code to anyone, not even their staff. Letting that "criminal" staff into the cobweb of your noise will only tarnish the image of the bank which corporate organisations don't joke with.

Take heart, dear
She is probably trustful than to say not careful. She would be careful next time as her experience of being trustful would be 'useful' next time. That is a first hand experience... It would require no science to reject nonsense next time. People lack conscience and reminiscence of the Omniscience and the HIS Eminence.

Does he stay inside the bank, mama lay ambush for him and make sure you get him out of the vehicle that wants to convey him out of the bank by all means.

Or report same to the court of law and go and register that case under direct court complaint and see how the judiciary will deal with them there. If they anger the magistrate that will handled the case he may decide to jail their lawyer or who ever represent the bank. They won't sure play pranks with the court.

GTB deducted almost 1k from my account yesterday, for sms and VAT.

That's a lot of money just for SMS and VAT. And the problem is you cannot debated it with them. They always have cooked up stories why their charges are that high. It's annoying!

I had a similar experience sometime 2018. Though mine was with UBA

I just bought a new phone and wanted to be making transactions from my UBA bank app.

I had already installed it but due to certain information the app was requesting, which the bank alone can give to me, I couldn't use it, so i went to the nearest branch.

I met a customer service (lady) who offered to help me fix this problem.

She suggested we use Leo (UBA chat on Facebook) which at first i found awkward but as I was new to these things, i just felt I should let her do her job.

I was asked for my bank card details and even OTP and after like 15mnts, I was informed by the lady that my app is set and ready for use.

I had around N43000 as my balance and this was for my siblings WAEC AND NECO fee.

I was about leaving the bank when a thought crossed my mind that instead of going out to use an ATM which has a very long que, why not just remove the money using withdrawal's slip since am already inside the bank.

I settled for this and left a balance of N3000 in the account.

But when i got home, and after like 2hrs I saw another a debit alert from my bank.

The balance has been reduced from N3000 to N500, I guess they couldn't transfer all the money.

I went to the bank the next day to complain, even met the lady that set up this app for me and was told that I was the one who transferred the money and that there's nothing they can do about it.

I was shocked but realizing how lucky I was to have withdrew that N40000 consoled me.

I was very greatfull to God for following my instincts.

Ever since then, I vowed to never use any banking app on my phone again. Every transaction I do is through magic banking (USSD code) which I aslo activated that very day together with the mobile app.

Imagine such wickedness. So if the bank can give such an excuse, who is to say the bank itself isn't aiding and abetting such criminal activities?

Nigerians take sides even when they don't know what really transpired. The said lady knows nothing about the app, is there possibility that she wrote details down and aa criminal relative got hold of it? The bank must have investigated and discovered their staff is innocent.

You are not making sense.

Pls proper investigation needs to be conducted before accusing any staff. Am sure the staff did his job by helping her upgrade her mobile app and also satisfy his customer. Am not saying some bank staffs are not bad but she needs to be calming down let proper investigation be done before tarnishing the image of the staff. I no alot of customers have accuse me wrongly and later apologized but the funny thing is that the set of customers that were present when they were accusing me will not be the same set of people when they are apologizing thats why is not good to accuse something wrongly without evidence.
