Nnamdi Kanu’s Acclaimed Disciple, Simon Ekpa Behind Killings In South-East – IPOB

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has
said a self-acclaimed disciple of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, Simon Ekpa and his gang called “Autopilot” were responsible for the criminal activities across the region.

The group disclosed this while informing Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State that it was not responsible for the criminal activities in the region.

Emma Powerful, the spokesman of the separatist group, said Ekpa and his gang were threatening residents of the South-East over non-compliance with the Monday sit-at-home order.

A statement by Powerful reads: “It is a certain Simon Ekpa and his criminal gang called Autopilots that are carrying out threats against people’s lives because of non-existent Monday sit-at-home are criminals, kidnappers and robbers. These people disturbing the peace of our people are not IPOB members. They should be treated as criminals. IPOB doesn’t shed blood. We are a peaceful movement.”

IPOB maintained that the Monday sit-at-home order remained cancelled, adding that anybody enforcing was not its member.

He added, “We wish to reiterate once again that IPOB has cancelled Monday sit- at-home order and anybody or group enforcing the relaxed order is neither from IPOB nor from IPOB volunteer group. Any governor in the region who deemed it fit to stop non-existent Monday sit-at-home order in the region is free to do so.

“Anyone caught adding to the pain of our people in the name of enforcing Monday sit-at-home order will be treated like the enemy that he or she is.

“We, therefore, warn these agents of darkness using the name of IPOB to enforce a non-existent sit-at-home to desist because if we lay hold on them.

“Why should such unpatriotic elements be inflicting pain on our people and dragging our image to the mud? IPOB remains a non-violent movement and our peaceful approach for Biafra restoration has not changed.

“It will be recalled that IPOB leadership called for the Monday sit-at-home, and the same IPOB leadership has cancelled it.

“Nobody was given the mandate to enforce the same suspended sit-at-home using the name of IPOB. The only day sit-at-home will be observed in Biafra land is when our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is appearing in court, and we shall as usual make it public for all to know.”

The group urged leaders in the region to arrest anybody trying to enforce the sit-at-home order.

I’ve always suspected this! It’s obvious what’s happening here…the bastard has been financially induced and compromised by those intent on trying to give IPOB a bad image amongst Ndigbo! Not sure he’s the one personally directing the murders, arson and other criminality going on, but i’m certain those responsible (non-Igbo) have bought him over!

If referendum is carried out today, majority of South Easterners who still desire Biafra in their hearts will vote against separation from Nigeria with their heads.

The current violence, intimidation, indiscriminate of killing of fellow Igbo and worrisome tyranny of the gun have instilled fear of the present and apprehension about the future in the psyche of average Igbo person. What shall it profit anybody to fight for people's freedom by taking away their freedom.

Autopiloters vs DOS.

OK, I'll explain this. I'm not going to go too deep into details, but I'll provide enough explanation for you to understand. You can go back to the predictions I made in 2020 and 2021 for a better understanding of the situation.


Nnamdi Kanu was suddenly arrested in 2021 and his arrest threatened to put Ipob in a rudderless situation. Several decisions were therefore taken in order to keep the group active while Kanu was in detention.

One of the decisions was to get a new presenter for programmes on Radio Biafra. There was someone that Nnamdi Kanu had previously endorsed and asked his followers to listen to. That person was Simon Ekpa. He became the presenter on Radio Biafra and he made fiery and hate filled speeches just as Kanu had done before his arrest.

There was also a structure that was put in place to run the organisation in the absence of Kanu. That structure was the Directorate of State (DOS). The DOS was headed by Chika Edoziem.

As time went on, the DOS felt that Simon Ekpa had deviated from what they wanted him to do and so they sacked him from being a presenter on Radio Biafra. However, Simon Ekpa claimed that it was the DOS that had deviated from the Biafra restoration mission. There was an insane exchange of allegations between supporters of the DOS and supporters of Simon Ekpa. This is what I said that I won't go into. I'm not going to reproduce the allegations here, but you can find them yourself if you search the Internet (it's mainly about money, calling each other prostitutes, accusing each other of selling out and control of ESN). It was a serious war that mainly took place on the Internet, but sometimes also occurred on the streets.

Simon Ekpa is more social media savvy and he built up a huge amount of support. Apart from YouTube and Radio Biafra, members of the DOS do not actively use social media sites like Twitter and Facebook, but Simon Ekpa is everywhere. He is also an extreme extremist and and his threats, bigotry and fiery speeches appeals to some youths and so he developed a huge following. The DOS is trying to be a little more conciliatory because Nnamdi Kanu is in detention, but this has given Simon Ekpa the opportunity to claim that they've sold out.

Sometime ago Simon Ekpa claimed that all the people that claim to speak for Nnamdi Kanu are not really speaking for him. He said that Kanu is being detained by the DSS and so they don't really know what are his own thoughts and opinions and what are lies and tricks being used by the DSS to deceive people. Therefore, he claimed that the Biafran struggle is on autopilot. This has made people to nickname his supporters as "Autopiloters".

Just like Nnamdi Kanu, Simon Ekpa raises a lot of money anytime he does his broadcasts and part of that money is used to fund the ESN training camps and terrorist activities in the South-East. He often plays Nnamdi Kanu's speech in which Kanu endorsed Simon Ekpa and told people to listen to Ekpa, before his broadcasts.

The battle between Simon Ekpa and the DOS continues. This morning the DOS released a press statement that Simon Ekpa is not a member of Ipob. This was his response.

If indeed Ekpa hasn’t been compromised, why then isn’t he falling in line with Igbos pronouncements on rescinding the sit-at-home order!? Is he too daft to see enemies of Ndigbo and IPOB are using it as an excuse to commit murder, arson and harass innocent individuals and businesses in Alaigbo!?

And who are the Igbo that betrayed Mazi Kanu and alerted the despot of his presence in Kenya?
