Op no mind people saying you should stay away from Germany car, the only German car i can vouch for is VW, Audi is a luxury version of volks, but pick VW, but but (note i repeat it twice) if you don't have specialist for VW, pls stay away, those cars are not for all mechanic, i use Golf 4 2002 model, the engine is be replaced but the car is still moving like nothing happens, since two years now,, which Toyota of it year can be strong like that.

I'm wondering if anyone here can help throw more light on this, please. Thanks.

Have driven audis and vw most of my life here in Nigeria, and while they are joy to drive, i won't advise you to pick up one for your uber, these cars are cars that require a lot of care, if your getting the car new fantastic, however, i assume its going to be used, finally VW and Audis are not cars that any auto repair person can just fiddle around with you need guys that understand the car (in Lagos that would be at itire), when i say auto repair i mean a good rewire (u will need it) and a mech that understand how to scan and diagnose the cars error codes.


If your however set on your purchase, I'll advise getting a trusted person who knows about the car to check the car, that you get an odb2 tool for scanning, that you get a tool set and watch a lot of youtube videos about the model your looking to get.

Love VW's And Audis have had a total of 3 over 9 years and getting another soon, like i said great cars but you have to be ready to put in the work, not just drop it off at a mech and expect not to understand the car fully

I do not know of Lagos but in Abuja if you are going for any European car for bolt/Uber, I will advise to buy Peugeot 307 with 1.6l engine,manual shift. Everything about the car is superb compare to all these Toyota cars. Also the spare parts far cheaper than Corolla being used.

Take your question to uber thread and upload the car picture there. You will get more accurate replies from the drivers. Many people on this thread aren't iber drivers and will misinform you.

My brother since I sold 03 camry v6 and bought Honda city 08 my life have become less hassle and i no longer check fuel Guage every few minutes when driving.

You can get ones registered few months with the engine not over flogged.
Check jiji, and Facebook marketplace.

Audi is good but Volkswagen is better for transportation business. The parts are not expensive, the ac is super cold, it can last for Africa and thieves won't look at it much. Buy any of the following:
1. Volkswagen Jetta
2. Volkswagen Polo
3. Volkswagen Vento
4. Skoda
5. Skoda Fabia
6. Skoda Octavia etc.

The strongest is Skoda and Polo but they are very small in size. They are very very very strong, very reliable and more economical than Toyota Corolla 2003/2004 model. If u have cash buy a clean Vento or Fabia and thank me later.

Yes it can, as long as it is 2003 upward and has 4 doors. However, some riders might find it small and give you low rating but if the car is neat and that's what you have at present and want to give ehailing a try, car size shouldn't really be a problem, go ahead.

I am yet to see someone using Volkswagen for bolt. I once took a Volkswagen golf 5 2006 for inspection, the lady said they aren't accepting it, she snapped the car and sent for verification and confirmation, she said sorry. They accept corolla more and a few models more now...

I'm not sure... Just visit any of their inspection centers... But using C180 may not be economical for bolt... You need cars with 1.6cc engines that do not drink to much fuel to maximize profit...

Golf 4 is good for uber especially if the engine is 1.6l or 1.4l. It's a durable car and parts a cheap 2.
Most guys get there car maintenance advice from quacks. For example before starting my car every morning I check my oil level, d reason I do this is if I have a damage sump during my journey the previous day, I will be aware of the issue before starting the engine. Once I noticed a low level I instantly know something is wrong. This advice alone has save 3 of my guy engine. The advice look simple but how many car owners follow it.

actually it is. a friend uses a w203 c180 Kompressor for bolt. although it is in Benin and he shares a screenshot of his profit. he makes good money with it. I cant say about Lagos though.
if the engine is kept in good health then there is a high chance of enjoying it for e-hailing

yes it will. I know someone who uses it for Uber in Benin.
