Theunbothered: I asked a simple question to know more and not for you to display your arrogancy. A simple explanation would have done much than asking such stupid question as to whether I'm alright or not. Does one who isn't alright ask someone alright questions bothering national security and the likes? |

tonyuny12: Did it since but unlike those who support this brain dead policy I'm not thinking about myself alone. Even though Ghana's policy makes a bit more sense than Nigeria's own since it allows foreigners to use sims if they are just visiting, the same Ghanaians are still complaining about the policy. https://www.biometricupdate.com/202201/ghanaians-cry-foul-over-stressful-biometric-sim-re-registration-experience Think for yourself don't be a zombie. |

tonyuny12: I have to ask because this is not something I should have to explain to an adult with data on his phone to search "UK sim registration process". I have grown weary of government sheep asking silly and childish questions in an attempt to derail and distract. If you want to act like children don't be surprised when you are treated as such. |

Great0ne1:Those people frustrated me for a whole day, and after finally getting to my turn, they said there is no network from Abuja. The form is still in my house as we speak. I don't have much time in my hands for a day and the little I managed to scramble, they wasted it. I will get my NIN though, but at my convenience. For the main time, they can do their worst. |
Re: SIM-NIN: Deactivated Subscribers Storm Telecom Outlets, Queues Mount by Theunbothered: 5:08pm On Apr 06, 2022 |
tonyuny12: It seems you have reading comprehension issues so let me explain again. I NEVER said Nigerians should not do it. I am ASKING what the linking intends to achieve. I am ASKING why the government has to put the country in turmoil for non existent gains. There are Nigerians who have linked their NIN but are blocked but you don't want to think you just want to talk. If you read my posts clearly I said the block she continue, later we will see the result. Theunbothered: Even the screenshot you sent is criticising mandatory sim registration, you don't want to read yet you think you have the capacity to educate. Will you geddifok. |

Theunbothered: Give me instances of those who had theirs successfully linked yet their SIMs were blocked. I helped some persons before now to get theirs linked but because there was no text message confirming a successful linking, theirs were blocked and when I helped them yesterday with same, messages were sent and their sim cards unblocked. As for the reason as to why the need for such linking, the cases of Ghana and Tanzania should educate you a little about that.. National security and reducing cybercrimes and theft of identity. Now let me use my case as an example, before I got my sim linked of late.. My phone was stolen and someone used my sim to open an account with fidelity and till this moment I do receive alerts from his bank. When I was to retrieve it, I had to confirm the SIM still belongs to me and then I linked it with my NIN. Now, if I'd done so before my phone was stolen and used by the individual as his own during account opening, don't you think it would have been impossible for him knowing that his NIN would be requested? |

Re: SIM-NIN: Deactivated Subscribers Storm Telecom Outlets, Queues Mount by Nobody: 5:23pm On Apr 06, 2022 |
Honestfrend: I wonder how some of them reason! America with all of its technological excellency is still facing issues of terrorism, yet we make it look like Nigeria is unique to it. Although Government aren't doing enough to curb such due to bad leadership and followers, Nigerians shouldn't see any policy geared towards addressing such a negative one all the time. |
Re: SIM-NIN: Deactivated Subscribers Storm Telecom Outlets, Queues Mount by Nobody: 5:25pm On Apr 06, 2022 |
Great0ne1: Believable idoit well done o. Have you done your linking or not? Beside, those who have had theirs done, are they facing such as those who haven't gotten theirs linked. If it's not so important why the nosie-making about it? |
Re: SIM-NIN: Deactivated Subscribers Storm Telecom Outlets, Queues Mount by Yemi4luv: 5:30pm On Apr 06, 2022 |
Great0ne1: Me too i have register it but i havent got my nin number, I'm tired of going to airtel office I did it, whenever i go to the airtel office to check if the number is ready the lady will tell me that the nin number isn't ready |

tonyuny12: https://twitter.com/Morris_Monye/status/1511680495083524096?t=5KBoJF8BSTZQfYK0FnDvqg&s=19
So the cybercrime rate on Ghana and Tanzania should be around zero right now.
Or you could have used your common sense and blocked the sim as soon as you knew it was stolen. |

Honestfrend:You guys piss me off soooo badly in this forum. Killings and kidnapping are going on everyday. Kidnappers are going about doing there trade, unchallenged, but you actually believe this nonsense nin, was introduced to check crime ? Let me tell you, if federal government have been able to curb insecurity, with this introduction of nin, nigerians will happily register for nin. People simply do not believe, is for a good purpose. Why is this so difficult for people like you to figure out ? You want an able bodied grown man, to leave his business every day and go and stand on the que for some useless nin registration? Mind you, 70% of the time, the network for doing this registration is down. This should tell you the kind of people you are dealing with, just incase you don't know |
Re: SIM-NIN: Deactivated Subscribers Storm Telecom Outlets, Queues Mount by Nobody: 5:37pm On Apr 06, 2022 |
Theunbothered: I've gone through my screenshots and didn't see any criticism... Besides, criticism would come from certain persons who aren't satisfied with government policies especially when it is of disadvantage to their insincere business transactions but that doesn't stop government from implementation. National interest supercedes individual interest, go read about your constitution properly and civic education if you will humble yourself and do a proper research. |
