Believable idoit well done o. Have you done your linking or not? Beside, those who have had theirs done, are they facing such as those who haven't gotten theirs linked. If it's not so important why the nosie-making about it?

Ok. So tell us why it is important

I wonder how some of them reason! America with all of its technological excellency is still facing issues of terrorism, yet we make it look like Nigeria is unique to it. Although Government aren't doing enough to curb such due to bad leadership and followers, Nigerians shouldn't see any policy geared towards addressing such a negative one all the time.

If u say Nigerians shouldn't see this policy as a negative one, what is the benefit of the policy to Nigerians?

Pussy ass government and pussy ass Pantami with no ideology

Ain't linking no shit....funny enough my glo line is still making outgoing calls since yesterday
Just like I said
Pantami ain't go no knowledge...

Nin- sim linking should be a continuous process

No deadline....no barring of sim card from making out going calls....and nothing should happen to people sim card who refused to link

The only thing they should insist on is that when ever you are buying a new sim...it must be linked.

With this ....gradually or as time goes on or rather many years later.....sim card not linked to nin will automatically not be in circulation and it will fizzle out on its own

You said it all!

For those people using mtn use this method to unbar your sim.

Click link below to see complete steps:

Here are three simple steps to unbar your line all from the comfort of your device. myMTN app does the magic and here’s how; if you don't have the app, download from playstore or collect from your friend.

Your phone was stolen and you were going through a tough time but you left it that way for weeks and are now using it as a point of argument online.

If you actually cared about your identity being stolen you would have blocked that sim immediately but you want to use your own lack of diligence as an excuse for government overreach.

I'm only pointing out the importance of the SIM - NIN link because if of done so, such won't have happened.

The purpose was idiotic and didn't achieve anything, no country that isn't at war with it's neighbours will close all land borders for years because of ordinary rice smuggling.

I don't give a damn about Libya, Nigeria is not Libya, mentioning them is irrelevant because the policy failed.

Jonathan never blocked social media, closed the borders or released terrorists under a failed amnesty programme, these are unique to Buhari.

But he gave a militant power of the Nigerian Navy, empowered militants to the point asari tokunbo could build a private university.

Regardless we should not be comparing failures when the new administration promised change.

This is the area I will totally agree with you because we need improvement and not comparison.

Just say u don't understand y the linkage..

Do u know that you cannot upload a porn video on YouTube?
Do u know also that you cannot upload racism comments on Twitter?

Now here his the reason. When u upload an adult content on YouTube, a video sensor ditects it and blocks it. Then u will get a warning not to upload such.

Now when someone makes a call for instance and they want to track such call, they call track the mast from where the call is made especially wen the individual is a prime suspect. But u cannot know the exact place where the person is, except when the phone is on. Also you will not know weather the person is the true owner of such line.

But with your nin linking they will start monitoring that line, know how long such individual has been using it, when it was registered etc and also there re advance softwares to detect certain conversations between individuals that when someone start talking about bombing, explosives, importation of weapons, just like that YouTube example I gave. It will send a signal the authority that someone with name so n so has made a statement about bomb or guns of weapon.. Before u know the tracking will begin.

This software detect the phone number, now because of the nin linkage the real document of the person will appear. Now with dis the authority will now place a red flag on that person's conversation.

So that nin thing is very very important.
Hmmm!

The power of the Nigerian Navy?

What

These amnesty programmes were initiated by Musa Yar'Adua long before Jonathan became president.

By the way between the Boko Haram amnesty and the Niger Delta amnesty which do you think has been more successful?

Stop this copy and paste - people who use telecom services can't be anonymous - it's a security flaw ab initio - someone is trying to correct that now

Boko haram aren't asking for amnesty, rather they have a wrong pursuit of enforcing their useless religious idea. Those don by this adminstration are just showmanship with nothing to show forth.

As for the amnesty introduced by Yaradua, it wasn't geared towards making an individual as power as Jonathan made tompolo.

It is the same amnesty programme, Jonathan did not change anything.

Either way it has been 7 years since Jonathan left ad you're still complaining about his policies. After the amnesty programme we did not hear a word about Tompolo yet you're still complaining.

You didn't hear about him because the federal government was on him. I'm not in support of this government and her unfavorable policies but then I don't fancy pushing blames when previous government including the head of this government laid a wrong precedence

I must confess I appreciate your level of maturity in handling differences in ideas. Your type is rare here on nairaland. Either way, a better Nigeria is all we look forward to and apology in areas where I sounded disrespectful and arrongant.
