My advice; plant f1 seed if you are growing for commercial purpose, don't underestimate gray squirrel, use manure, spray insecticide e.tc. personally I can never grow watermelon for commercial purpose . Me and my boys eat and satisfy, I dash close to 15 out, this is the Last one which I will be giving my mother.

animal pest,and there is know way to maintain the plant without marching it.

For animal pest, simply fence it with net. Control weed before the vines cover the ground to minimize marching. Also make space for footsteps so that u don't march it too much when spraying pesticides.
