Chibuike Amaechi maybe an Igbo man but he isn't from southeast. Can southsouth person represent the interest of southeath or can southeast person represent the interest of southsouth? We are agitating for power to rotate to southeast not to southsouth as they have done their turn through GEJ with our full support, however if APC choose him(Amaechi) as their candidate good and fine the struggle for SE political emancipation continues. 4 Likes |

gidgiddy:I like your argument, very coherent. While I don't deny that the Nigerian presidency rotates on geopolitical zone basis, I will like to point out that the geopolitical zone arrangements was rooted on tribal and ethnic majority. We all know SW is majorly Yoruba, NW and NE is majorly Hausa/Fulani then SS and NC are for the ethnic minorities. Basically what I am saying is the Nigeria tripod is NW/NE === SW=== SE which represents Hausa-Fulani, Yoruba and Igbo. So, the geopolitical zone term is on the basis of tribe not geography. My point is if an Igbo man is trapped outside SE "geopolitically", are you saying he/she can't benefit for being an Igbo man in national politics? 5 Likes 1 Share |

Is an ijebu ode man a yoruba? If yes then ikwere is Igbo Anioma is Igbo Agbaelu is Igbo Abriba is igbo Nsukka is igbo The only argument will be the southeast is yet to produce a president An okun man of Kogi may deny being yoruba in kogi state but we gladly claim being a yoruba man outside kogi state Have you seen an Ikwere man in kano deny being an Igbo Beside Chibuike Amaechi is a registered member of ohanaeze If Wike should reside in the US believe me you he wont deny being Igbo 5 Likes 1 Share |

DontBullshitMe: I am yet to see a Benin yoruba, or an igala Hausa. Ikwere told us clearly they are not Igbo. They traced their origin to Benin, therefore are Benin people. Chibuike Amechi, an Ogbako Ikwere financier, did not convince his people to correct their avarice-induced genealogy lies. Names only do not confer ethnicity. An Amechi presidency cannot be considered Igbo by any measure. 2 Likes |

DontBullshitMe: Its the tragedy of Nigeria. Had Nigeria been run the way its supposed to be run, as a true federation where the federating zones control their resources, nobody would care much where the President comes from or what ethnic group he is. It would be about competency. But we are still talking about where the President comes from because whoever the President of Nigeria is, he wields far more powers than he should in a true federation. Competency has been left behind But as I said before, the Presidency rotates on geopolitical zone, not tribe. If people say it should be tribe, it will have to rotate amongst the 300 ethnic groups in Nigeria, which means that it will take any tribe over one thousand years to produce the President Therefore, if Amaechi becomes President, regardless of the fact that he is Igbo, he will be serving the turn of the South/South When it rotates back to the South, the South East will lay claim to the Presidency as the only zone in the South yet to produce the President in this political dispensation 3 Likes |

It’s funny that Yorubas, Hausas, Fulanis, and people from other tribes have declared their interests to vie for presidency but it is Ikwere that the Ibos are obsessed with. They sound like Ikwere people have no right to become President unless they identify as Ibo. Some are even saying that they prefer voting Youruba. hausa or even the devil instead of Ikwere as if anyone cares. We know that Ikwere is Ibo only for the purpose of your Biafra but that tire was deflated before take off. Reasonable people will sell their candidates but not these people. This is how they started with Tinubu until they made people who never liked Tinubu’s candidacy to start gravitating towards him. If you can not stop people from other tribes from contesting with their identity why thinking Ikwere people can not contest as Ikwere? Ikwere is among over 300 ethnic group and has the right to vie for the highest office and if this fact gives you headaches then you can go and hug the nearest transformer. |

chrisxxx: No need to engage you with counter arguments and proofs but don't mislead the unsuspecting public pls. If you guy deny your heritage and choose to be a different tribe ..good& supported but don't twist things. However, same Ikweres shouldn't claim Igbos at anytime later, Igbos too are learning to allow any group be what they want. When next situations arise that may call things to question, remember to stand your ground based on your beliefs including educating Nigerians that the persons with Igbo name who break the law from your side are not Igbos. So that another Maj. Kaduna Nzogwu doesn't doesn't arise. 2 Likes |

Tranquill: Pls what made you think Igbos are concerned about who declares for what especially from Ikweres? Or what made you believe the OP is Igbo? Igbos have their own candidates as well. You guys shouldn't flatter your selves.. Ikweres are not in the list of Igbos to do list. Of all the tribes, it's Igbos that is your issue? The matter should be if the Ikweres can push their agendas without trying to ride on the wings of the same Igbos they dream to measure to. It's a continuous mistake to think you can truely stand or regarded by always antagonizing Igbos. Fly, the sky is big enough. 5 Likes |
