Obasanjo did a lot for Nigeria, he never divided Nigeria along ethnic and religious lines, he was a president for all and sundry, the reason nobody agitated for restructuring under him.

The same cannot be said about this government that keeps dividing Nigeria everyday.

Buhari's body language has so much emboldened killer herdsmen and bandits to continue their heinous acts particularly in my state benue, they kill innocent people everyday and get away with it, no punishment.

He also made Nigeria the poverty capital of the world.

He's not a good and patriotic president, history won't be kind to him

Stop selling dog poo for candy... Obasanjo was no president for all. Go and look at the favoritism that characterized his wack privatisation and commercialization policies...

He did nothing to end marginalization and to create an equal union. He maintained the lopsided tribal administrative structures left for him by the fulani oligarchy in 1999.

He even said more disorganizing things than Buhari, just that his media teams were on top of their games.. Very corrupt and violent, this man leveled villages and local governments for fun! If you are from Odi or Zaki Biam, you will understand more...

2.Commercilization of nepa to phcn by unbundling it into 18 successor companies on 1st July 2005
,
10.Securing life and properties of Nigerians.
This is a part of 20 series of achievement of OBJ.
Commercialisation of NEPA never lead to better power supply.

Life's and properties were not secured under OBJ. Soldiers killed Nigerians in Odi, Bayelsa State. The Government had to pay out billions of naira has compensation under GEJ. There were ethno religious violence in the North under PDP. Or you have suddenly forgotten the ethno religious violence in the middle belt?

Contract for Omotosho, papalanto and Geregu power stations

Una dey always hail mediocrity sha grin

He could only sign contract for omotosho, papalanto and Geregu power station for his 8 years in power. So signing contract is now an achievement shocked

Have you forgotten about MEND in the Niger Delta?

Well, make I click on your link and read more of his paper achievement.

We have so many people on nairaland who cannot read in context and understand; and then make meaningful submissions.

It has become a trend; someone who was in government comes out and criticizes the current regime for something he himself had every chance and opportunity to do.

But when the government responds, it becomes "blaming previous governments"

To blame and to respond; are they the same thing?

Femi was interviewed and asked a question specifically about Obasanjo's criticisms.

He gave a response which many iidiots are now calling 'blaming the previous government'

Honestly, over time OBJ has become an irritant.

The only people who listen and stand him are those who typically hate Buhari's government.

Or you will keep using past government as excuse?

What about Buhari?
Any lone blaming others is not different.
What has Buhari done in terms of police reforms?
Or improvement in security?
Nigeria is so stucked btw PDP and APC that we don't know which new party to vote.
APC n PDP need to be voted out of top posts.

Watch how children of hate ll quote me wrongly cos of lack of understanding.

With the blame game, the two idiotic parties and their foot solders only continue to expose how unelectable and useless they are to any rational electorate.

But the Nigerian electorate is anything but a rational one.

Obasanjo did alot is a vague comment, mention what he did.
Obasanjo was an appointed president that had no ball to do anything tangible for the country, he was too afraid to set Nigeria on the momentum of progress. Obasanjo was just gallivanting and globe trotting. Obasanjo's presidency was just to maintain the status quo of Nigeria as instructed to him by those appointed him as the present from the north. As a clueless president, acting on the instructon of his northern master, obasanjo stopped private power plant, he stopped state policing idea claiming only federal government can generate power and Nigeria is indivisible country, claiming that people behind state police will use it to win elections and divide the country.
Nigeria today is seriously encouraging alternative power generation through private companies and individuals, nigeria today is clamoring for state police as the most potent solution to address the security challenges we are facing, these are what we would have done since 1999,but because we had clueless president we are still running on the template and infrastructure the British colonial masters handed over to us. Visionless people like obasanjo shouldn't be in government.

Is your biggest mistake not thinking that you/we need a messiah to do everything for us, while we do nothing?
I hope you are not thinking like that again, but doing your own work on local government councillors and chairmen, state lawmakers and governors, representatives and senators to be more responsible for their own constitutional responsibilities.

Meanwhile how did you think that someone who worked with Abacha as the worst known looting was going on, and said that he did not steal our money at Abacha’s 10th year memorial, to be the messiah? How did you think that

OBJ is an egotistical hypocrite. I think we all accept that but Adesina should face the failings of his boss Buhari which, arguably, could be deemed greater than those of Obasanjo.

I am no fan of OBJ but I think it is convenient for Adesina to join issues with baba because our former President correctly highlights the failings of the Buhari Government.

Adesina is a duplicitous hireling as well because, to shield his boss, he claims that the executive arm is not the custodian of political will in regards to restructuring.

I do not remember it as Buhari being helpless or impeded by other arms of Government. I seem to recall that Buhari openly mocked advocates of restructuring while dismissing it arrogantly and emphatically.

Adesina should remember that it can be better to remain silent rather than look a fool trying to spin what cannot be spun.

Those calling for restructuring naïve, dangerous, says Buhari
June 20, 2021

By Ibrahim Wuyo
President Muhammadu Buhari virtually foreclosed the restructuring of Nigeria, Saturday, when he said there was nothing to restructure.

“And again those who are discussing restructuring, my question is, what are you going to restructure? If you ask many Nigerians what they are going to restructure, you will find out that they have nothing to talk about.

The most annoying aspect of Nigerian politics is the BLAME stuff.
Ok obasanjo's failure in that area automatically means failure for your master to establish it..
It's saddening to the ear when some people in govt. just don't reason, or think because they want to weigh their collosal failure on the past administration.

Stop grasping at straws.

Buhari has failed, and that is not the issue...

Millions of Nigerians should criticize Buhari but never a man who was in power and had the chance to do everything he accuses Buhari of not doing BUT NEVER DID!

That's the message of Adesina and that's exactly how 99 percent of us would respond if we were in Adesina's shoes.
