Some might be getting it cheaper, some might not be paying for the barbing outside sef, some might be getting it on credit from their customers outside so won't want to patronise a neighbour when they have the money, some other possible reasons but I'm not ruling out the fact that some if not many are beef and envy

Me personally I don't like buying things from people around me, except aboki's, they will not want you to price or when you price and you didn't buy if you pass they will start making mockery, I prefer going far.
I do MC atleast am still an upcoming,so there is this neighbor that did birthday for her son, and I told her I am an MC for my mind I Know she won't pay much even if she wants to pay, but I have the mind that even if she says she will 2k I will collect it just to atleast use the money to buy if atleast bread to eat that day and to advertise myself could you believe she wasn't ready to pay.

I have a POS biz right in my house, my tenant patronize somewhere down the road, then on Sunday when most don't open, they will now come but do tell I don't do business on Sundays while I attend to outsiders. Some people are not just good no matter what.

Nah price, palms and clothes bought in the market seems to be cheaper than those that aren't bought in the market

Everyone decides how and where to spend their money. It's not hatred or jealousy, it's a thing of choice.

And one other thing am familia with is that most neighbours often hike their prices hoping you would still patronize cos you guys are neighbours. It doesn't work that way. For me, I go for where I get the best prices irrespective of who you are

My younger brother sells clothes, I have never patronise him for one day for reasons which he knows. His boutique is standard and clothes are expensive and not meant for me, and this he understands.

Las Las every December he will bring me 2 pairs of jeans and shoes and sometimes boxers for free.

I have this woman that sales food close to my shop, I eat morning, afternoon and evening in her shop. At times I will order food and ask her not to put meat bkus I may have suya or wish to use roasted chicken.

The day I had issue with this woman bkus of shop space, while she was ranting in her shop, she told everyone that I eat food without meat that I don't have money to buy meat.

I said to my self if I no patronise this woman, I don't thing she will have the temerity to say I eat without meat. Na see finish nah

Another one is my neighbor where I reside, when I park in newly he said he's into upholstery, I said no qualms, one day I wanted to buy already made wardrobe he said he will do better one for me.

I told him but I have never seen ur hand work b4 and beside I need this urgently, I said OK, I paid this guy his money in full he ate my money, wardrobe I no see.

Everyday na story upon upon story, I wanted to carry matter enter police at a point I asked myself what will ppl say that I called police for my neighbor.

One day I asked him about my wardrobe he said he will bring it that if I can't wait las las na police I go call. As in I come dey wonder e be like say the guy know all the police in this area for him to make such comment.

Las las I called police for him, see why baba dey cry dey beg. Police give am 48 hrs to provide the wardrobe or the cash I gave him.

Before 48hrs reach my wardrobe dey my door dey wait for me.

For me, I go for quality. If my neighbour can't guarantee me that, I will never patronize him/her.

Recently, wind scattered a portion of my fence, I called a block industry owner to supply me some blocks..Because he supplies the blocks I use for contracts and they are of good quality.

One mugu, had the audacity to stop me yesterday and complain that he is from my village, so I am supposed to patronize him even when his price is wey higher..After he rant finish, Na so i raise my glass and move... I play a lot, but I don't eat rubbish.

Tell me, will you give that same excuse for this kind of situation, that is your neighbor buys from a hawker which in turn buys from you because you sell in wholesale?

It is majorly due to envy, jealousy, not wanting to support the business by not patronizing it.
