Every relationship has its ups and downs, but it's important to know how to handle the "downs" to keep your relationship strong.

Couples that resolve their differences in a respectful manner improve their relationship even more. The following are 8 things that can derail even the strongest of relationships, as well as remedies:

1. When you begin disagreeing on intimacy.

At times things are amazing and you and your partner are on the same page when it comes to intimacy... It might be difficult for a relationship to progress if one character has a low inclination for intimacy. It can arouse resentment and make a character feel unwelcomed. It can do both. When one's S£x force takes an unexpected turn, it's best to be honest and open about it in order to get to the bottom of what's going on.

2. You’re bottling up feelings.

You may find it easier to keep your mouth shut and not make a big issue out of tiny disagreements. The problem with this is that you may develop animosity toward your partner as a result of all your negative emotions. Regardless of how big or small a problem is, it's always better to discuss it gently and respectfully.

3. You take every difference for granted.

You're all committed, so you don't feel like you have to put in a lot of effort. The things you did for each other in the beginning that made you fall in love can also be the things that keep your courtship strong. You probably did for each other. It's the "thank you's," the "compliments," and the small gestures that get overlooked from time to time. They're going strong!
