It can be anybody but never a northerner.
I prefer the disintegration of Nigeria than allowing another northerner to rule.

The only good thing about Atiku/Obi ticket is that it gives igbos a sense of belonging and the clamour for igbo presidency has a real chance after 8 years...just get majority of the governors to be in PDP by 2031....my only fear is that Atiku presidency may damage Peter Obi's goodwill....see the moral burden Osinbajo is carrying right now. Atiku na thief he won't do shit, he has spent so much money in trying to become president of this country since 1993 and he will recoup everything if he becomes president.

You have a huge point

Atiku/Wike or Atiku/Anyim or someone else.

Not Peter Obi.

I have nothing against Obi.
I just did an analysis and I hope any discerning political analyst will agree with me.

Ogbonnaya Onu is a very daft politician. Despite his brilliant academic achievements in his days, he seems clueless like his boss and not in tune with modern technology and development. Do you know what it means to be a federal minister of science and technology of a country? You develop policies and programs with capacity to catapult your country into a modern technology-driven economy. But in his case, he is too daft, reserved, crude, not futuristic, backwards in thinking and lacks the demeanor of a scientist . If indeed, he is the anointed Buhari's candidate, then Buhari no get taste at all.

I don't have anything against Peter obi but reality be said the north and the south west see him as Igbo darling and essentially a supporter of the Biafra movement

You know what happened when yorubas had a darling in abiola and south east didn't fancy him

These things matter, an Igbo that is villified for been a one nigeria slave or a "neutral igbo" would get presidency faster than obi

Lol, the joke of the century.

No northerner will bypass Atiku or Saraki (PDP) or Kwankwaso (NNPP) and cast his vote for Onu whose people have not only been, to this day, insulting northerners and everyone but also have been killing northerners and chasing them out of the East like foreigners.

Plus, strategy-wise, it is politically suicidal for Buhari/Apc to field a southeasterner. Where can they secure the votes for him? In the East? Or will the Yorubas the Igbos have been calling names and telling that they prefer the Presidency to remain in the north to it rotating to SW, vote for them?

The Apc/Buhari can give their ticket to assuage Southeasterners or shed off the nepotism toga they want to shed off but not to win an election. Isn't democracy a game of numbers?

If the Apc gives an igbo man its ticket, then any body who gets the pdp ticket is the next President. This I know with near certainty.

Even if Nyesom Wike picks PDP ticket?

You got me there.

Actually Onu chances will be very bright with a Wike on the pdp ticket.

Wike's comment on Rivers being a Christian state and his demolition of mosques will play against him in the north.

But remember PDP have said they want to give a apc the same treatment it gave them in 2015. So if apc goes south, pdp will counteract that by going north.
