I have seen posts on here of people complaining about how bad the country is and poverty and many have even lost hope in the future. Some only realized how poor they are or have become after they got married.

Before I go further, I’ll like to tell you that your success or failure in this life is solely in your hands. Only you can choose your path.

Now I’m going to teach some of you guys how to make it in life and break away from poverty.

It’s called making connections.

Let me start by saying that making connections is not solely for the rich with the rich. That being said, let’s get it started.

Guys/ladies (anybody that wants to make it in life, no age limit), let me walk you through the process of this skill you need to master. It might cost you some cash initially but if you’ve mastered this art, you’ll end up being really rich and poverty will be a thing of the past.


Getting started, you need to make plans. Try and save up to get any designer’s apparel, either shoes or watch or clothes. Before I forget make sure you have your own complimentary card/business card. If you’ve got any skill like welding, plumbing, electrical wiring, hair dressing, tailoring or anything, please include it in your card and tweak the name a little. Now if you’re a graduate without a job or you were fired from your last, you can just add your profession to the card. Like Computer science specialist, or an accountant or whatever you study. Make it short and sweet. Then save up some little more cash and use it for the next step.

Look for places where rich people visit, either a restaurant, bar or clubs like Ikoyi club or any good place, and notice the days when their numbers are much.

Now let’s get started. Dress up in your designers whatever and be sharp. Get your little money saved up and hit the road, with “today na today” kinda thought in your head.

When you arrive at the place you have marked, locate a good spot in there and place your order. It could be anything, It could be the cheapest food or snacks they could offer. Then sit down like a man/woman who had made it in life and feel good about yourself.

Next look around the place and study the people in there. Look for one person who you feel is alone and approachable and walk up to his table. Nobody makes friends with a poor looking person or a poor man and nobody takes a poor person serious too.

He’ll respect you cos he feels you’re a big man/woman and be bold and presentable too. He’ll welcome you to his table and wonder why you came over, but he’ll be willing to listen to you.

Introduce yourself and speak good of yourself. Tell him how you’ve noticed he was alone and wanted to keep him company. Offer to buy him a drink. Talk a little more and leave him alone. Make sure you don’t leave without collecting his business card or phone number and give him yours too.

Now that you’ve successfully gotten your first contact, you can choose to still stay back and slowly drink your bottle water or go home. If you stay back a little longer, then repeat the step again after your first connection must have left the place. Leave there afterwards and go home.

When you get home, you’ll feel good about yourself and your confidence will be boosted naturally.

Call up/text your new connection/connections some days later to see how they’re doing. Make it brief and end the call. Call again and ask if he’ll like to meet again for a drink or something. If he agrees, then this is your chance. Tell him about what you do and how you’ll love to do businesses with him or he can get you referrals. If you’re a graduate, let him in on your job hunt and ask if he got friends who are in need of a person like you.

He will help you or connect you to someone. Remember you offered to buy him drink on the first day, so it’ll only be natural for him to be kind enough to reciprocate, cos he feels he owes you.

If you’re into other business or craft, he’ll call you up sometime and give you a good job. He won’t disappoint by giving you jobs of less than 100k, he’ll give you job worth millions. Remember your first impression was making him believe you are rich too.

You’ll be amazed at how much you’ve become and how much you’ll make in a short time.

If your first two connections fail, which I doubt, try again another time. I guarantee you that you’ll make far more money you’ve ever imagined in your life in a year and more in subsequent years ahead.

They’ll introduce you to their friends and friends of their friends.

Before I forget, if you’re into any form of craft like bead making or tailoring, make sure you add premium to your price. Do not be afraid to give him/her a premium price. Let’s say it cost you 10k to make a bead, and you sell it to your neighbors for 15k or 20k, sell it to your new connection at 250k of 300k or even 1 million Naira, depending or how you size the person up, remember Nobody values any cheap thing. They’ll pay, trust me. If they don’t buy then they’re not the people you’re looking for.

Follow this step and I guarantee you success in the first one year or two. That little business of yours that barely even makes 30k monthly will be raking in millions.

They’ll give you that great job that you as a graduate or a jobless man never hope or anticipated you’ll ever land.

When you’ve achieved some level of connection and money from this level, it’s time to upgrade using the same technique but with a different level of people.

Master this art and you’ll see yourself turn to a millionaire in a very short time. Poverty will be a thing of the past and you’ll be a proud father or mother to your children cos you’ll be able to get them whatever they want and need and you’ll leave an amazing legacy behind.


Also Learn to respect people and don’t look down on anyone.

Treat the taxi drivers, receptionist and even people who open doors for you at the restaurant the same way you’ll treat a CEO.

You won't understand sir, the debts on my neck alone as turn me to the talk of my neighborhood I can't work freely because of shame. Secondly, the kind of work am doing is not a stable job, for instance I only eat once through out yesterday that's because there no work, today also is not certain and it might be up to a week before seeing another work again. The last I will do is to steal despite the fact that the suffering is too much for me to bear, I believe one day God will hear my cry. So you see the reason why I said it's beyond my power my brother.

Growing from bottom to top won’t be possible if your clients are poor people. If you are poor trying to make it within the poor, you’ll still remain poor. For you to make it in the midst of poor people, you need to be rich.

So basically we are faking it till we make it. The downturn of this is that we also need to invest some money in purchasing a nice looking car, a good house on the Island and some nice clothes, money for drinks, expensive food etc. This would cost you about 5M to say the least, except you want to be coming from Orile Iganmu to live fake life in Ikoyi Country club. Carry Bus from Orile to V.i, then Rent a car in V.i to take you Ikoyi clubs

Finally you need to have some actual skills to offer this people, eventually when they connect with you, what are you going to offer in return?
