You are very correct. We can’t just overemphasis the importance of party structure to electoral victory. Segun Oni is the most popular candidate in today’s election but sadly, his party doesn’t appear to have the required structure to push through. Although, it’s still too early to declare a winner as results are just coming in.

what's your definition of structure? What or who gives a party structure? The people or money? It pains me i share same country with people willing to sell their future for small money and gifts being given by these parties with so called structure. continue laughing. Consequences of choosing a bad candidate wouldn't have you secluded on the basis of party sentiments . You only gain if you are being rewarded with a position or a relative to them. It would be stupid to vote a candidate because of his party and not his ability to deliver on the job. Sane and right thinking people would vote in the right candidate irrespective of the party. Only in nigeria / africa would attention be given to a political party than the candidates they are presenting

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has reportedly emerged winner of the ongoing governorship election in Ikere Local Government Area (LGA).

According to results announced at the LGA collation centre, Abiodun Oyebanji of the APC polled 12,086 votes, followed by the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) Bisi Kolawole, who garnered 3,789 votes, while Segun Oni of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), came a distant third with 1934 votes, Daily Trust reported.

I don't like any of the presidential candidate but something is certain , Tinubu will ensure the entire South West is on lock down for APC. Ekiti is down, Osun and Oyo to go.
