Hello guys, if u we're given these options as a B.Sc graduate, which would u pick

1) Study Accelerated B.Sc Nursing in USA for 18 months on LOAN which covers
Tution, Accommodation (Utility, bills), Cost of Living, Flight ticket, Health Insurance, Cost of Gadgets (Iphone/MacBook).

OR

2) Study Nursing B.Sc in UK for 3 years on a FULLY FUNDED SCHOLARSHIP.

Which would you go for?

Go for Nursing in the UK it is fully funded, in 3 years time you are done with no debt to pay and if you have any dreams with the US you can easily top your degree there and maybe get fully funded as well

Does stipend( cost of living with house rent) included? If it's not included, I will go to USA.

Our people in UK will not tell everything they are going through. You can imagine paying Electricity bills of 300pounds alone.

And US nurses make more $$ than UK nurses. If he/she is young and wants to work hard and get established, go to the US. If they want an easier and comfortable life, go to the UK

I am about to begin application for Master in USA, for Fall September, is it still feasible?

Also any recommended schools that are friendly for giving admissions?

No student pays £300 for electricity bill anywhere in the UK. Authenticate your finding please.

How can one recommend school to you when you have not stated your profile/background’?)

Since you are none STEM you should have one of the plans below;

Look for OPT accompanies that will file H1B for you,
or
Get any company that accepts you and stay there and look for another that will give you H1B

or

Go for PhD straight or another maters that is STEM eg health informatics

or go for PhD or another study after your 1 year OPT

Then while in PhD consider NIW

NOTE
you can not do OPT again if you go back for the same level of study after the first one so think am well well

las las you will be fine

Kenny4smart:
Guys, just a quick one about the OPT thing please.
I understand that it is a one year work permit during or post study for international students in non STEM degrees.
If I activate the OPT while doing a 2 years Msc program, the permit should be exhausted one year into that program. Now, what happens in the second year please?
Further, If an OPT has been exhausted during study. Am I eligible for a new OPT after graduation?

Your clarity on the practicality of this will be very much appreciated 🙏

Warm Regards.

hahahah 9jia
them no dey waive am ooohhhh

Rdfactor:

Thanks for the tip. So it means you basically need to apply on your school website for OPT first, and that'd prompt them to send an updated i20 for work authorization to the USCIS. Thanks. Some people talked about a way to have this $410 waived I don't know 😆
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 17 by chibertha(f): 3:02pm On Mar 23, 2023
E go haaaaaard oooh
It means you will do both legal 20hrs work and under-the-table work.

So how will you study and pass?

For your information, C is considered a fail in graduate school over here.

The first was a rejection last year from the graduate coordinator, the second is the recent mail from him for this year application.

No. 2
with your 20hrs work time, which you can use to work anywhere, on like in the US, which is only on campus. The money you make can cover your cost of living.
How?
Live close to campus, look for 3 other people to share a 2 bedroom flat with, meaning every bill will be shared too.
Face your studies, and in 3 years, you will be done with no baggage.

Run away from loan

Thank you woman of valor for your response . I am currently enrolled for an undergraduate degree in the UK 🇬🇧 which I will be concluding very soon and will like to further in the US. This explains why I know very little or nothing about the US study thread.

So if you can be kind enough to guide me further, what’s NIW you talked about please? Again, if an OPT is used while studying, can it still be used again after graduation? Again how easy is it to secure the H1B?
And again. do you advise I use my UK degree to pursue a PhD directly, if yes, how possible is this and are there US schools that you are aware of that accepts a UK bachelors for direct PhD?

Your guidance will be highly appreciated.
Warm Regards.

If your COA for a yr is 36k and you have 40k (460/d exchange). Is this a problem for f1 interview?

Yes we pay electricity bill every .. even in Naija (diesel +pms+solar+Phcn)
But where can you work more, earn more and save more-US.
In the US, if you pass your board, you can do a contract with a hospital in consideration for a green card. You could also take another non-contract job to make $$

Is any school still sending acceptance letter for fall 2023.
I am yet to hear from UT Austin and Washington state university MSc. Computer engineering.
Anybody know what might be the reason.
I don’t want to contact them, they might reply with love letter.

Ans NIW is national interest waiver see link
https://www.uscis.gov/forms/explore-my-options/eb-2-employment-based-immigration-advanced-degree-or-exceptional-ability

Again, if an OPT is used while studying, can it still be used again after graduation?
Ans- using OPT while studying can only be done after you have done one academic year and declared financial difficulty (you do not want to go there I promise you)
It is more profitable after studies see link.

https://www.uscis.gov/working-in-the-united-states/students-and-exchange-visitors/optional-practical-training-opt-for-f-1-students
Again how easy is it to secure the H1B?

And again. do you advise I use my UK degree to pursue a PhD directly, if yes,
Ans yes

how possible is this
Ans; very possible if you have high grades, research experience, and publications with the possibility of getting a full ride if you are in STEM

and are there US schools that you are aware of that accepts a UK bachelors for direct PhD?

Ans: plenty use the link below to find one

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lists_of_American_universities_and_colleges

With these few points of mine, I hope I have been able to convince you that you have all it takes to relocate to the USA only if you can study the links I added.
Thank you

Your guidance will be highly appreciated.
Warm Regards.
