It wasn't that rosy but the insults being passed on you southerners by some sahel miscreants wasn't there that time. Those were the days of little light. Now, most are educated and those slave things wouldn't gain ground anymore.

Moreover, the whites are also took and sold slaves from amongst themselves, not only from here. We are enlightened now.

And also, trafficking still occurs in most part of the world, amidst whites, blacks, asians etc. We all know these. It's another form of hidden slave trade which will be more curtailed in our midst if every body go back go bear him papa name after naija don dissolve.

I have done many holidays in the houses of some of my uncles and aunts, and never once did I feel at home in their houses. I didn't have the freedom I have in my own house which sucks. There are some things you will boldly do here in Nigeria but would be dealt severly with if you try such in abroad. Go abroad and you will automatically become a 4th class citizen.

I think through time, one thing has held us from making the right choices. That is poverty. Two things are the most basic need to get rationalization going in Nigeria.

POVERTY

HUNGER.

Solve these and you have the country marching towards serenity.

The Northern folks are ready to fight to the end because they have this false sense of belief that they need the southern resources to survive. That is why the military saddled us with this massive chain called a constitution. That is why they want to own every land in the south and conquer all for themselves.

Same goes to the people that support corrupt politicians and corrupt politicians loot without mercy.

A war against poverty and hunger will give people a sense of normalcy. If we have all regions escaping poverty and generating wealth, a lot of our problems will gradually phase out.

So it is up to us to find a means to channel a part of our wealth into credible, strategic wealth creation. Then things can fall into place.

So you are literally renting financial sabotage. If you take ten Americans, none of them will exchange their kind of living for yours. Even people in some of the best places in Nigeria do not have the kind of living status of those people.

So that is why it costs that much. There are people that benefit from the system and makeup to $1,000 a day. They have micro-credit schemes for vast business growth.

I agree that there is no place like home, but most times when we make statements like “There are somethings you will boldly do here but would be dealt with...in abroad”, we’re making reference to the lawlessness in Nigeria. The way a politician will carry 10 suvs and be blaring horn on the road disturbing people’s peace. Or the way people pee in the gutters and dispose thrash in water ways, bribe police on the road despite your innocence. These “things” are not normal. But we’ve been abused so much that we feel we cannot thrive in a country that respects people’s dignity and holds each person to the same standard.

Pharmacists being arrested is not commonplace in the US. Things that could make them arrest a pharmacist include: dispensing drugs without prescription especially controlled drugs. I can’t think of any other. A pharmacists job is to dispense and to counsel you on the side effects of the drug and possible drug interactions, help you establish a standard, effective and personalized dosage regimen, enquire if you have underlying health issues like diabetes, hypertension etc that could possibly be aggravated by the medication you came to buy. So far you came with a valid prescription, a pharmacist can dispense and there are not to be held accountable should you misuse/ abuse the meds. Your uncle could go scot-free. On a side-note, yours is a very horrible way of thinking. One can detect the mischievous and malicious undertone of the OP. He sees this as a kind of ‘punishment’ which is deserving of the uncle.
