Other than the armed prison guards stationed beyond the main perimeter fencing that encloses the inmate housing units, not one single warden who are expected to be within the walls was present at the time if the attack.

From all indications, the terrorists scared off the joint armed guard units comprising of members of the armed prison guard, NCDC, the police, immigration and a detachment from the Nigerian Army who were stationed outside the main perimeter fencing.

Are the prison yards in Nigeria left unsupervised during the night?

I find this highly unlikely .

So where were the prison wardens who were on grave yard duties whom would have been within the premise? BH would have made mince meal out of these unarmed wardens when they gained entry but there was no report of any single wounded killed or wounded during the attack which means none of them were present.

If we say they managed to sneak out during the attacks , how probable is that?

From every indication, even the prisoners within those walls knew of an impending attack as it was reported that some Muslim prisoners notified and guided non Muslims on how to conduct themselves before the terrorists arrived..

The DSS has also come out to state that they provided Intel on an imminent attack to the prison authorities days before the attacks. Was this information from the DSS reason why the prison authorities barred unarmed wardens from the prison yard during night shifts?

Was there also collaboration from within the prison by inmates to facilitate the attacks as the terrorists were reported to have headed straight to the segregated housing units holding BH and Fulani terrorists?

We also learnt that the terrorists also targeted the record official of the prison setting fire to it to destroy records .

But the most appalling aspect of the raid was the time of response from the security apparatuses which only arrived the scene in the early hours of the morning the next day. The terrorists operated unchecked for close to 4hrs and no single attempt was made by the DSS, Armed forces, Police and every other uniformed security apparatus to storm the prison.

This is a 100% govt backed operation and they know we know so.

This jail break was orchestrated by those at the top hierarchy of the government,and prison service.

While we condemn in strong terms, the dastardly attack on Kuje Prison and the attack on our dear and lovely President's advance convoy by bandits, we urge the president & his aides to remain calm, law abiding & go about their normal duties/businesses. The NCSDC officer is not a warden and was stationed outside the perimeter gates alongside the Prison armed guards, Soldiers and Police.

Only unarmed Wardens are allowed within the prison grounds .

They simply released the boys that they used to fight for their North East Development Commission. Nothing else.
