The story you were referring to was 2016 and then Google admitted the trends was based on keywords and not actual search. For example if I type gay, it would count as gay porn search. If I also type porn, it would count as gay porn search. Note the word gay does not only mean homosexuality.

In 2021 for example, Nigeria is not in top ten while the number 1 ranked country is Myanmar, a Muslim dominated country. Just imagine. So just as you asked, I beseech you to think about it.
