Anyone can buy a bond from anyone as long as there is hope of making a profit. It has nothing to do with the strength of the currency. As long as I am sure that a country will not default I will buy their bond if they offer me chance to make a profit. As a matter of fact, poorer countries bond have a higher yield than richer countries because it is a more risky bet. Before you comment make sure you know what you are talking about. Well, EU needs to support US interests even more to show more solidarity, or how else does one interpret the Russia-Ukraine war that, although was not in Europe’s interest, was fully supported and urged on by EU leaders. Something that could have been easily avoided without a single shot or loss of life, just by simply insisting on Ukraine’s implementation of the Minsk agreement that was signed by all stakeholders.

One must give it to Joe Biden for succeeding in coercing Germany into supporting the script to weaken Russia even against its own interest of stability and prosperity. The Germans must be shaking their heads in utter disbelief.

It was hunger that drove them into the Atlantic ocean to look for fertile soil. If you seal off Africa, America, Asia and Europe and tell everyone to to fend for themselves, Africa, Asia and America will be live normal natural and comfortable lives while Europeans will starve and freeze to death.
