The problem with your half baked political analysis is that you use same brush you use for North and West to paint East and South. FYI, there are strong ideological differences between these zones.

People in the North and to a lesser extent SW, are swayed by the opinion of their leaders. However, such doesn't happen in the East and former Midwest.

It's the church that has the most influence in the East, particularly the Catholic and Anglican Church! No politician or traditional ruler will dictate beyond his family!

Even politicians like Umahi will be busy fighting for his own survival to bother about Tinubu. The last time Umahi campaigned against Peter Obi, you saw the attack he faced and he hurriedly invited Obi to Ebonyi state government house where he bowed to Obi under the camera! In the SS, it may not be as serious as the SE but the people are also demanding for Obi. Smart politicians will either support Obi or play neutral for their own survival.

@garfield, another mistake you're making is to compare 2019 elections that had 2 Muslim Northerners contesting against each other with 2023 elections that has an Igbo Christian who is generally believed to be good.

The love people have for Obi in the East is indescribable and unprecedented. The East would experience huge voter turnout because both the church is now fully involved in the awareness and also considering that Obi is on the ballot.
