Good proposal if only our electoral umpire will accept it
Re: Nigerians Ask INEC To Include Candidates' Photos On Ballot Papers by hedonido: 11:10am On Jul 24, 2022
Just prevent illiterates from participating in the electoral process. Minimum of WAEC holders. That would solve much of the problem.

We can't keep leaving the power to decide our direction as a country in the hands of rustic rural dwellers, almajiri elements, and other uneducated and unenlightened people.

"Please do this for Nigerians.”

From someone who really cares for this country.

This time around, we vote for competence and not party
For the individual, and not for his flag

Does that means the vice president is not more in the same ticket with the president?

Nigerians Ask INEC Nigeria To Include Candidates' Photos In Ballot Paper

Adding his voice, a Catholic Priest, Fr Kelvin Ugwu wrote, “Dear INEC Nigeria,
Our ballot paper should be like this because in the true sense of it, it is actually the individual with his vice that we are voting for. All the elections conducted in Nigeria in the past, the ballot paper just carried only party logos. But it is not the party we vote that leads us after the elections but the individual. Almost all the countries in Africa has both the face, the name of the candidate, his/her running mate, and the party logo on their ballot papers. Please do this for Nigerians.”

Again calling (bigot and so on)..... let's be more civilized when we are online. It's uncalled for....If you are selling a product emphasize on the selling points not destroying other products. Obi is a good product but his supporters should promote him in a More civilised way. That's my point.

Unfortunately for Peter Obi, majority of the voters in Nigeria will not vote for any presidential candidate without a cap they recognize.

Once Names of Candidate is on ballot paper...the votes becomes that of the candidate and not political parties..

If the candidate them defects to another party, it will be a valid and legal thing to do and the new provisions of Electoral Act banning defections will be defeated.

It simply a waste of paper.
Voting should be cost effective and efficient.

As a consultant, I will propose a one quarter ( ¼) size of a A4 paper as Ballot paper.
I won't say more than this.
INEC shld contact me to pay for consultancy services.

The "election is not won online" crew are shameless to also comment on the issue. By the time they realise what is happening online, the mobilization, election is over!

It is simple, there should be provision in the electoral act for timeline replacement of photos of candidates vying for election and once that elapsedp there should be no substitution of aspirants photos whether such has resigned, withdraw or death as the case may be.
jackcanfield:
What happens if the candidate resign few months to the election and needs to be replaced, shey you na go bring money print another one.. that is if there is time sef.
