It seems you did not submit the biometric slip. Hence, the need to pay for transmission. If you have lost the slip and live in Abuja. Go there, and they will sort it out.
A coloured copy of the bank transfer is acceptable.
HouseRavenclaw:
Hi everyone,

My passport was not received by the VFS Abuja because they said I didn't pay the transmission fee. I did the biometrics for my first application in Abuja so I assumed I wouldn't have to pay this time. Whatever the case, I told them I'd pay it and customer care told me payments aren't by transfer but an invoice payment generated only when one visits Sterling Bank. Can anyone confirm this?

The lengthy processing time can be pretty frustrating. I know how you will feel as you have to put current and future plans on hold.
I don’t know if UofM will defer your admission without tuition payment, but it is worth giving a shot; call or send them an email.
Have you sent a web form and email to IRCC?
Letuspraytogod:
I couldn’t resume in all 3 intakes and the last one is September 22 and my visa hasn’t been approved yet.
Even my medicals hasn’t been posted on my portal yet.

It’s an undergraduate program (university of Manitoba) Can I email the admission offer for deferral to January 2023? Due to the delay in my visa processing.

Will they approve this deferral as I haven’t paid my tuition fee (U of M undergraduate program doesn’t require tuition deposit).

Or how can I go about it? PLEASE HELP ME. I AM BEGGING, DON’T SCROLL BY.

NB — This application was submitted October. It’s almost 11 months now. (I ordered for Gcms already)

Two things please:

1. Kindly share the vfs customer care number
2. Did you say the customer care said payment can't be done from one's phone bank app?

If your letter of acceptance has 3 starting date, they won’t defer your admission, instead they’ll ask you to reapply again. I know this because it happened to me and I had to reapply but luckily, I got another admission within a week. You can try reaching out to them for a deferral, I hope yours will be different from mine. Good luck.

If you are not resuming early, you can wait till you get a request for medicals but if your resumption date is close. Better you do upfront to help speed things up for you.

You don't need to open bank details in order to accept your award. Simply go to your student portal, and check where your financial details are, there you would find scholarships and award. You can see where the international tuition award might be and accept the offer.

Direct Deposit is sometimes optional and it is helpful when you get to Canada and open your bank account. Then you can include your bank details, Direct Deposit is a system that allows you to withdraw funds from your student portal to your bank account. It takes at least 3 working days and the money would hit your bank account.

Congratulations on your award. Actually speaking from experience with Simon Fraser University, Same province with your school.

Regards
God bless you over and over again

Hi, you can call one of the banks. An account can be opened from Nigeria but you will have to verify the account when you arrive in Canada by visiting the branch. You won't be able to make withdrawals, though. Since you are yet to get a visa but you have the award from the school, you can call the bank directly to confirm before sending your school an email.

Sending an email doesn't make you naive but it will be better if you check the banks before doing so. Congratulations on your award. Wish you the best.

@chuksinfotech gave a good solution.

thank you @ciaj0 I almost missed chuksinfotech msg. God bless you guys, don't even know what pushed me to go and ask in the other canada sister thread. You guys totally rock
