1- you cannot work in canada until your program starts, doing that is a violation of your study permit and illegal anyone that did that likely did under the table jobs in other words illegal jobs and if found you will be deported and or banned from canada, there is a reason why they ask for so much pof during your application please don't go there without enough money to sustain you for at least a year.
2- fall term is from september to december , winter break is usually late december to early january; december 20-january 10 something like that then next term (winter)- january to april then the longest break(summer) late april to early september (ofcourse you can choose to study in your summer but it's best to use it to work as you can work an unlimited amount of hours during summer as opposed to fall and winter where you can only work 20 hours a week. as always check on your school website it will definitely be there.

Urgent!
Please my younger sister was to board Delta Airline flight to get to NL this night. But she was unable to board because she was told she needed a US transit visa. We don’t know how to go about the whole process. Please I need suggestions on how she can get another flight that would make her get to canada before weekend. Thank you all

Good Evening Fam
Hope we've all been faring well?

I've been a silent reader on the platform for a while now, and now I'm ready to apply for admission, I have some questions of serious concern to me.

Around November 2020, I applied to the University 1 program (Bsc International business) at the University of Manitoba. I was admitted and applied for my study permit some weeks later.
Please note that at this time, I was in my year 4 in a Nigerian uni, studying chemical engineering.

My study permit application was rejected in April 2021.
Fast forward to now, I have finished my bsc, and I graduated with a 2.2 grade. I'm interested in a business analytics course in Canada.

My questions are as follows.

1) Will my previous Bsc application affect my current application in any way, considering I'll be going for a diploma.(In my first application, I stated that I had no post secondary school education, and same thing refelcted on the SOP I wrote then.

Yes. Why business analytics? Do you have any work experience?

2) Is it better to apply for a diploma in Chemical Engineering/technology just to avoid complexities during the visa application, or do I go ahead with the business analytics diploma I'm interested in.
Diploma after Bachelor's doesn't make sense. You're better off specialising in a particular area of chemical engineering.

3) Its been kinda difficult to find business analytics diploma programs. Is it okay to go with graduate certificate programs?
Yes, graduate certificate after Bachelor's is usually what people do. Don't go for a Diploma. Your study permit will be rejected if you do.

I'd appreciate responses from different people, and people who have been in the same situation.

Cheers everyone

See my answers within the quote. If you don't have any certifications and work experience in business analytics, don't bother applying for it. Your study permit will get rejected.

You need to present a logical argument about why and how you transitioned from chemical engineering to business analytics, and you need to have professional certificates and work experience to back your argument.

I have hnd civil engineering and currently working, and i intend stdying aircraft maintenance engineering. Do u think embassy will give me visa. I can get a sponsor fron the company i work and all necessary documents.

Or should i just apply as undergraduate to study aircraft engineering without mentioning my hnd. I have 13years study gap. Cos i graduated 2009.

unfortunately unless the ticket is refundable you've lost out on all the money you'll need to book a flight with another airline most of them have routes that don't pass through the US, she can fly this weekend it's just a matter of how much you can afford as tickets are more expensive closer to when you book them. you're looking at like 1.6m+ your best bet is klm, qatar, egypt air. best of luck! REMEMBER anything delta, chicago, JFK,new York, Atlanta please run O

Thanks so much for your response.

johnstan:

Pele, international refunds are not like local refunds, they take time.

Your refund was initiated on May 20th and it took flywire till July 14th to refund your local bank here, that's almost 2 month's.
Before it gets to your account from flywire it might take same time frame just chill and keep following up.

Mind you, the refund will be at the dollar rate for the day it will be credited to your account, so if naira appreciates by then you will receive lower than you transferred to your school and vice versa.

Good luck.

Please request for your case notes to know the status of the application and start sending mails every two days at least, include webforms as well. You can also send updated SOA to them to show the POF is still available.\

Mayboy:
Good evening everyone.
I received a mail from Centennial University that I'm eligible for admission, that I should make a deposit of 2650CAD out of the 18680.26 CAD for two semesters to receive my letter of acceptance. Please, how do I make the payment?

Mayboy, what is the deadline for payment, if there is no deadline, you can use Form A, which takes 5 to six weeks to process from your bank. The other alternative is to source for FX from the parallel market and make a direct transfer, this is fast but very expensive.

Hi guys

I need advise

My wife got admission for winter ,

The school is suggesting we pay through paymytuition.com or direct wire transfer to them.

Paymytuition takes naira , but the rate is 600:/$cad plus

My question is do you suggest we push through like that or use bank Bta and how long does it takes on a average ,cus we want to pay it asap so we can proceed with our application and not waste time

Engr, Using a bank will take 5 to six weeks to process, if that is within deadline, you can use it, if not you can go with the second option if you have the funds to accommodate it.

Hello! When sending an updated SOA, does one need to send another MYBANKSTATEMENT certificate? or will just a stamped SOA suffice?

.
You haven't specified what type of equipment or equipments. I am asking you this in other to know if some of the equipment you work on can be used by an aircraft or can be found in an airport facility, hence you can structure your letter of explanation in such a way that you will be able to convince the visa officer why you want to study aircraft maintenance.

Good day guys, please I have two important question is regarding submission of my visa application:

1.My Sponsors means of identification (passport) is expired. Can I still use with my application?

2. Concerning the passport photograph to be attached to my application, what is the requirement? And do I need to write my name at the back of the passport before submission?
