A governer for 8 years will earn pension for life while someone who has put in over 30 years in the civil service will be paid off once and for all ,and in the voice of the governors "should go and die."

During Goodluck's tenure, Governors uninamously agreed to devour excess oil revenue instead of saving it, now see where it landed us. The same governors are blaming Goodluck.
Buhari went ahead to collect loans and all governors were in support. At the end, most of the loan was embezzled in the name of building infrastructure. Now the cost of servicing debt is more than revenue hence an impending economic collapse. Unemployment rate is over 33%.
Again, Governors uninamously agreed that 50year old and above civil servants should be payed off. With which money? Borrowed money? So after you pay them off, where do they invest? In this unstable economy with terrible government policies? Do you know the number of companies that closed down in the last 5 years due to faulty economic policies? Do you know that naira is constantly falling against the dollar? Do you know the worst economy to invest is an unstable economy? If not, how many foreign investors are investing in the Nigerian economy? In fact, how many Nigerians are willing to invest here?
Do you know that in Nigeria, Majority of 50 -60 year old still have children in school?
Don't you know that in this kind of situation laying staff off will technically increase unemployment?

From their analysis, 4.1trillion naira is being paid to 89000 staff annually which amounts to 46 million naira per civil servant on the average. How on earth can that be possible? Highest civil servant in Nigeria is not getting up to #30 million annually? How did they arrive at those figures?
From past experience, don't you know that the excess money they want to gain from the technical retrenching will finally land in their pockets through a sharing formula tied to infrastructure development as they've always claimed?

You better go and sit down and think about the future of the country and what it holds for you and your children before you jump up in supporting every government policies.

To improve tax revenues, they suggested that the federal government should introduce a flat 3% Federal Personal Income Tax on all Nigerians earning more than N30,000 per month, adding that persons earning less than N30,000 per month whether employed or not, including farmers and traders, should pay a monthly FPIT of N100

So let me understand, apart from the PIT demanded by States with some contributions to FG acct from organized private sector, they expect us to pay an extra 3% on our dwindling disposable incomes?
Then taxing 3% on people earning a mere N30k that almost 0.25% is already spent on transportation alone?
And in all these, when are they going to also include the issue of reduction in the over bloated salaries and allowances from NASS and the Senate?

Civil servant who has put in over 30years of work, earning money that is not enough for them all through and who are constantly being owed, no salary for 6months etc and whoose children are jobless, cousins,nieces and with the little they are earrning, they are still helping other jobless people around them

Meanwhile a governor of 8years, who would be there to steal billions, would retire and earn for life, and this same governor would transition to senators earning millions. This same governor would put all his children and extended families in the job meant for Nigerian youths,, the contracts meant for Nigerian youths,theey are also the one that benefit from it

A civil servant earning less than 100k who is unable to build a house. If this coming election Nigerian youths allows Tinubu or Apc or pdp to win, then they deserve the bad treatments from government

My parents were civil servants, and all through my parents 35years of work, we were beyond poor, sometimes no salary for them for 6months,no food, my parent does not have house. I cant imagine them being payed off at 51years, when they were still in abject poverty despite working everyday. Our firstborn didnt get a job until he clocked 35years old.
Anyways, the luck my parents had was that they have brilliant children, and my mum did everythg to get education for us, most of us are no more in Nigeria and now my parents are finally doing fine. Imagine they cut them off jobs when they were 51years,lol

This is why Africans will keep giving birth to children like dogs because no secured future and most peoples future is in the hands of their children, if not my parents go still dey suffer now.
