Fintiri Returns From Rivers, Gives Update On Wike- Atiku Reconciliation by ManirBK: 8:52am On Aug 14, 2022 |
Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State was upbeat when he returned to the State capital of Yola on Saturday after a visit to his Rivers State counterpart Nyesom Wike. He was in Rivers State over the crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in which Wike and the party’s presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar are the principal actors. Fintiri, who spoke to newsmen as he arrived at the Yola International Airport just before noon Saturday, said efforts to reconcile Wike with Atiku were progressing well. Fintiri, who is the home governor of Atiku and a friend of Wike but who said he is the chairman of the Atiku-Wike reconciliation committee, reiterated that earnest reconciliation process had started and was going on well. He said, “We are focused and the reconciliation is up and progressing. I am the chairman of the reconciliation committee between Atiku and Wike on Atiku’s side, and I assure you that we will get over it. “The reconciliation process is ongoing and very successful. We will continue to talk. Politics is about discussions. It is about understanding. Very soon we will be crossing the t’s and dotting the i’s to signify that the reconciliation is over and PDP is up and ready for success.” According to Fintiri, the PDP views victory in the 2023 presidential election as a duty to Nigerians and is therefore going all out for it. He said, “We are alive to expectations and we know that Nigeria will not forgive us if we fail. Nigerians are in confusion. Everything is shattered. Nigerians don’t know where they are. We wake up every morning (trusting only in God). “As a party, we are putting everything into this reconciliation to ensure that Atiku and Wike’s camps are back together as one united family for the success of the PDP.” https://dailypost.ng/2022/08/13/pdp-crisis-fintiri-returns-from-rivers-gives-update-on-wike-atiku-reconciliation/ mynd44 oam4j lalasticlala seun |

Totilopussylick:In all honesty do you think peter Obi can win the upcoming presidential election? We all want him to save Nigeria but I seriously doubt that. Nigeria is a very difficult country , maybe this will be a stepping stone for him. |

You guys should leave Wike nah. He's not contesting for anything. They should leave him to concentrate on his flyovers. Anybody can win Rivers. It's an open contest now. In Rivers presently. They are rooting for Obi and Wike just wants to make sure he wins the governorship election with PDP |

Wike has to be vocal o. This is not a matter of his political career. He no send. As an individual, he is already made and would gladly be accepted by any political party as he is a principled individual and a performer. All the governors, including the one of my State, who ganged up against him are miles behind in terms of performance and delivery to the people. The events which took place especially during the primaries should raise valid questions regarding the subject of inclusiveness in the event the presidential election is won by the PDP. It's surprising that people who presently hold the short end of the stick are the ones castigating him. There are strong indicators which suggest what happened in the last 7 years may repeat itself. One question: If the tables were turned, do you think what happened to Wike at the primaries would have been possible? |

Wike knows that living PDP will be the beginning of the end of his political journey. Ask Akpabio... From uncommon governor to common commissioner |
