Lying down to respect people, bowing down to people, appreciating everyone, greeting respectfully with two hands etc, are good, but are not total signs of Humility. The first sign of Humility is when your heart is not lifted up in pride, but sober, not magnifying self and giving all glory to God.

Do you know you can act humbly and be proud in the heart? Do you know you can act humbly just to impress people for them to say you are humble?

The question now is: why do you act humbly? If your humility is to intentionally show people or impress people on how humble you are, then you are not humble.... It is beautiful and good to respect people, honour elders, bow down where necessary; but all with a humble heart.

Pray for grace to be humble outwardly and also to be humble in your heart in Jesus name. Amen.

2. Do you know you can act humbly and be proud in the heart? Do you know you can act humbly just to impress people for them to say you are humble? The question now is: why do you act humbly? If your humility is to intentionally show people or impress people on how humble you are, then you are not humble.... 1. Did Jesus Christ ask any of His own to display the sort of humility you describe here towards others? Jesus Christ, Himself was described as a respecter of no man, and He did not mince words with anyone, not even His own mother. He shunned the traditions of men casting them down as lies instead. So, where in scripture did Jesus Christ ask you for what you pretend you can offer in His name?

2. When Jesus Christ called His disciples, He said to them, "I will make you fishers of men....". Jesus Christ explained that He is the one to make us into that which He wants. All we are called to do is submit to and obey His teachings and commandments. So, why would we believe that our idea of humility compares in any way to that which comes only from His Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, the one who lived inside of Jesus Christ?
