There is leadership failure in Nigeria and EVERTHING IS COLLApSING
Our leaders are serious failures. The fact that they have money is what we fail to understand.
Incidentally, they stole this money from us through corruption.
The issue is we are not been ruled by intellectuals.
We are been ruled by political thugs who are shallow minded and cannot see beyond their selfish interests.
Education, security, economy is collapsing everyday but our leaders have no clue because
they have lost the capacity to think and be intellectual.
When you alienate intellectualism from leadership, society will disintegrate into war, poverty and anything.
We have to realize we have failures as leaders.
Okay those in charge of education in the country are simply FAILURES. They are so confused and myopic

Hmmm. ASUU should be proscribed. They are a bunch of lazy People who do not work and want to be paid. Who will compensate the Nigerian students for the many months of lecturers lost? If they were very good they would have secured lecturing jobs overseas but they are a bunch of lazy People who only derive joy in sleeping with their female students and producing handouts that are outdated.

Are students going abroad to teach or to learn? Are the schools going to pay the students salary or the students will bring money to the schools? Since you know their value, what value will a Nigerian lecturer add to a university in the UK or Canada?

ASUU, you are complicit in this matter as much as FG is complicit.

Proscribe ASUU
You're conflicting yourself. Two people are involved in the same wrong doing, then you turn around and ask one to proscribe the other ?

Then you shouldn't have any problems answering the questions. Are students going abroad to teach or to learn? Are the schools going to pay the students salary or the students will bring money to the schools? Since you know their value, what value will a Nigerian lecturer add to a university in the UK or Canada?

Ashiru, in an interview with Arise TV, monitored by one of our correspondents on Sunday, said the union was not going to call off its strike action as done by the other academic unions.

FG should sack them all and re-employ with strict terms and condition of service. No work no pay, penalty for missing classes and a promise to graduates only the best
Yea... that's also an option but it might have some negative effects on students due to the fact some versities are still making use of hard copy as storage and some sensitive materials are still in the custody of most lecturers....

Forget oO, Nigerians are naturally gifted in almost all ramifications but our sense of reasoning in this country are mostly limited and beclouded by hunger, corruption and an ungrateful nation...

I blame students.
Why are they not on the streets protesting?

This situation is only occurring because students are allowing it.

Imagine if all students block roads and block access to private universities or forcefully enter private universities to attend their lectures there.

Not only would you deny some of the striking lecturers their side hustles of teaching in private universities, you deny children of politicians and elites continuing their education un-hindered.

Trust me, when the children of politicians start getting their education disrupted, a solution would be found quickly.

It isn't that they don't want this strike to come to an abrupt end, but the shame of being caught in the avoidable Web of protest against the ASUU body for fear of Being tagged hunger induced.
This is an appeal to Lecturers, don't be cowards, say your mind, come off it once and for all, una oga on top no dey feel una pain at all.

What Assu is saying is there is no going back, of course they should stand the ground in making sure FG commits to their said agreement since 2015 if they agree on half remittance of both the revitalisation fund with arrears I'm sure 6month from now, another strike will be up and running.

The truth be told this led administration are innumerable failures, they keep running the country to the floor, no sane leader will watch is educational sectors go to dust, they don't just care about the outcome, their own is to consume and live luxurious life style at the detriment of their citizens. No country as ever prospered either without a great leader or a popular revolt.

What do you expect from a President that has only WAEC certificate, sadly, he cannot even produce it. That mannequin in Aso Rock does not fully understand the importance of education. Let us just pray for his successful exit and on time too.
