Russia’s use of aviation in Ukraine is being compared to ‘operation desert storm’, and other US military operations in Iraq and the Middle East.

The matter of fact is that the US has never went up against anything as advanced as the modifications of S300 (or even a base S300) fielded in Ukraine.

They went into Iraq against systems that were falling apart and operated by untrained troops with capabilities nowhere near an S300 system —yet, the Iraqis still managed to get lucky shots on them.

The S300 and Buk systems fielded by Ukraine are advanced systems. They’re extremely difficult to overcome — and this is especially the case with operators who know what they’re doing — which obviously applies to Ukraine. These are domestic systems historically, the expertise in operating them remains unchanged from the Soviet military.

The only time the United States went up against cutting edge Russian Air Defence systems was in Vietnam.

*United States military lost in Vietnam almost 10,000 aircraft, helicopters and UAVs (3,744 planes, 5,607 helicopters and 578 UAVs. — according to American sources.

(The 2,000 we stated earlier were at the very start of the attack on Vietnam)

In our opinion, the aviation component in Ukraine is carried out in a localized & supportive manner. Russian Armed Forces strategy in Ukraine is precision strikes and artillery, not FAB’s and wiping cities off the map like in Syria.

The population density simply does not allow for this in Ukraine without racking up hundreds of thousands of civilian casualties.

Additionally, the aviation component of the Russian military allows for stand off strikes from long distances, often from the airspace of Belarus due to a magnitude of missiles with very long range.

The Russian Air Force is not really limited in what they’re doing at the moment. They’d only become limited in case of change of strategy — which would be large scale destructive airstrikes. This has not been on the agenda thus far.

(And hopefully does not become a realistic strategic point for the sake of civilians)

We said it in the past and we’ll say it again, the world has not seen a war like this yet. The technological aspect of this war, the fortified positions and the conditions of this war are not remotely comparable to any conflicts NATO or anyone else has ever faced.

Reason why US wants the war to continue in Ukraine is because it cannot afford for Russia to be the victor because that would be end of NATO and US hegemony. This is all about the perception of crushing Russia because they assured NATO and the EU it would happen within weeks.

They do not have the ability. If it were not for Russia, US would have done to Syria President what they did to Gaddafi. When we hear them calling Russia state sponsor of terrorism or supporting authoritarian regime etc, it because Russia is not allow them have their way.

US controls what people hear and see. It's only few people like us that look beyond the narrative in the media. Imagine people listening to channels TV or AIT OR NTA coverage of the war. You will never know what really led to the war or what's happening. And I think channels TV is drawing some dollars from foreign donors.
