There is something called Commercial Knowledge. Every technical field has a commercial side. Leaders really don't have to know so much about the technical side. What matters most times is the commercial knowledge as that is what can be used to solve problems on a large scale.

First, Nigerians in diaspora will contribute a good portion of his campaign funds.

Second, it will do a lot of good to his campaign.

Obi's popularity has gained grounds so far because of his continuous presence in the media. While addressing Nigerians abroad, he may also win the hearts of some of those in Nigeria. Many are yet to settle for a candidate.

Remember that he was invited by a US university. But he is taking the opportunity to visit these places, so it's a win-win situation for him.
