Bollinga:When people want to denigrate Tinubu's achievements, they say its because Lagos is rich. Yet,No one Knew Lagos was Rich, until Bola Tinubu came along, and turned potential into prosperity. Lagos increased IGR, from 600million to 8bn monthly under Bola Tinubu. Lagos using Bola Tinubu's template now makes in close to 45billion naira monthly. If its because Bola Tinubu, was 'just lucky, its Lagos' lets go to other states. Nasir El-Rufai used a similar method to Bola Tinubu, reorgamised KADIRS,brought in Ifeuko Omoigui-Okauru,. Kaduna IGR grew from 11.7bn to 44.9 bn naira in 5 years. Ogun State did a similar thing too. Its IGR is over 100bn yearly. Ogun & Lagos are the only states now, whose IGR is more than their FAAC allocations. The moral of this story is that there is a method that works in generating IGR, Lagos,Ogun,Kaduna are examples. Stop denigrating Bola Tinubu's achievements because you cannot applaud greatness. If a student consistently scores A's, admit he is brilliant. Reproach doesn't diminish the sweetness of honey o. ALMUSTAQIM: What is good about Lagos? 1. It cannot compare with first world cities. 2. Basic infrastructure is lacking. 3. It is a huge slum and disaster. 4. It ranks poorly in terms of livability. 5. Nothing can be done to improve it unless it is demolished and rebuilt from scratch. 6. It has a sinking coastline, this is known by globally relevant scientists. The only good Lagos can boast of is being a port city and a state capital. |

Sincerely speaking, Tinubu is the best among the presidential candidates. But age? Yes, he is much older than when he was Lagos gorvnor. Health issues? Yes, he looks frail like any other old fellow. Good governance? Tinubu have track records and retinue of men to help fix Nigeria. Let us play our part in the coming presidential election and pray 2 Likes |

ALMUSTAQIM:You people keep saying Tinubu fixed Lagos. How? Some of you have travelled abroad. Mention one capital city in Europe that Lagos comes anywhere close to. Just one. With its immense wealth, Lagos does not have one world class hospital. How about quality of life? What social system did Tinubu put in place for the people? Slums still littered the state during his tenure. Area boys still held sway and Mike Okiro did precious little. LASU did not come close to one city-owned university in Europe. Trash everywhere. Traffic was uncontrollable. I was in my 20's living in Lagos when Tinubu was governor, so you people can spin that fairy tale to most people in this forum who were not even born then or were too young to know. Developed Lagos indeed. Your standards are abysmally low. |
