This is a very smart observation.

Onitsha is a commercial city.
The amount of money circulating around the Onitsha axis every business day cannot be ignored.

A lot of business persons and business vehicles move along that road every single business day.

Our leaders cannot take their eyes away from that goldmine.
So, to take that advantage, they will always find an excuse.
Kano and Lagos has bigger markets than onitsha y is gf then ignoring the money there?

Its funny ain't it. A road more expensive than bridge
It’s very possible. Second Niger bridge isn’t that long. But Abuja kano kaduna road is very long it’s over 20 times the length of second Niger bridge

So the dam project should be in the South? If the dam project in the North works, would it supply electricity to just the North or the entire country? The Kainji dam (our main source of power till today), does it supply electricity to only the North?

Guy please don't be uninformed 86% of Nigeria electricity comes from gas powered plants , while the remaining comes from dam. The Mambilla dam project is a mega project up north. For your information the country solely depend on oil and gas to survive. The gas deposit in eastern region can't be let go because of its great contribution to nation revenue and survival.

Dangote refinery
cost: $19 billion
Status: to be completed in 2024

Dangote refinery is a game changer for Nigeria
this single project can breath extra life into Nigeria's economy by cutting our overall imports by over 25% and reducing the rate at which the local currency is devalued..
the project is so massive that words dont do justice to defining it..

you can found out everything you need to know about Dangote refinery is this video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ft6vaCGbhrI
I thought they said this will be completed in the Q1 of 2023?

Warri-Itakpe rail?? NLNG Train 7?? Bonny-Bodo bridge??

You probably had to wrack your brain to come up with these ones…..for a region that produces the bulk of Nigerias’ revenue!? You don’t find that ironic as well as pathetic!? Also, i notice you didn’t mention the south-east. Why’s that!?

Warri-Itakpe rail is part of what’s being done all over the country…with all regions supposed to have equal representation. As things stand today, NO new rail works are being carried out in any of the state capitals in both the south-south and south-east, and to go further, NO new rail works are being carried out ANYWHERE in the south-east! Cynics may even go further to posit that the bigoted and evil Buhari gov’t decided to touch the Warri-Itakpe line as it would impact the northern economy! You don’t see say a Calabar-Port rail, or a Onitsha-Port Harcourt rail being done presently…exclusively beneficial to the south-south or south-east regions like we see with the Lagos-Ibadan or Kaduna-Abuja-Kano rails!

That NLNG project was inevitably sited in the area of operation! It couldn’t have been sited anywhere else! But i’m sure they’ve thought of how to include the core north in this multi-billion dollar NLNG project, but couldn’t come up with anything! After all, they’ve done it before with the AKK gas pipeline and Kaduna refinery! Notice also how they NEVER concerned about trying to site any multi-billion dollar industry in the south-east like they are with the north-west!? Remember, the south-east has huge gas deposits too! They would sooner lay pipelines to suck the gas out of the south-east region and send to the north via AKK pipelines….or if they must site any multi-billion dollar gas project in the east, they’d rather choose the south-south then use pipelines to suck out any gas from the south-east to the projects concerned! Anything to stop them siting any worthwhile project in ‘nyamuree’ territory is welcome!

So far, the Bonny-Bodo bridge is the only sincere project you listed with no ulterior motives or question mark attached!

But of course! If you don’t play the divide-and-rule game, what other game will you play!? Cosy up to the south-south….butter them up and curry their favour so you can keep your monkey paws on the valve that controls the oyel and gas coming from their region!? It’s a game both you and Buhari know only too well!

South-east should ‘wait for cownu regime’, meanwhile you’re gorging yourself fat on their resources! If this isn’t the very definition of evil, shameless parasitism and leeching, then i don’t know what is! And by ‘cownu regime’ who are you referring to!? Come on man, ever heard of the OB3 gas pipeline from Kwale? The AKK gas pipeline is built to enable us export gas through Niger then to Algeria to Europe. Is Abia close to Niger or Algeria?

POST ONE.
One of the FG’s #SukukBond Road projects is the Enugu—Port Harcourt Expressway (Sections 1–4)

Here are photos of Section 1: Lokpanta—Umuahia Tower, under rehabilitation.

The #SukukBond is a N100 billion bond raised by the Buhari Administration for 25 critical roads across the 6 geopolitical zones of Nigeria, in 2017. (Each Zone got 16.67 billion Naira from the bond)

You are right. Very many of our people need to be informed about ongoing projects. The OB3 line you mentioned is the SE/SS equivalent of the AKK gas line. The ELPS pipeline is the SS to West equivalent. These pipelines were part of the gas master plan formulated since the 90s and only being completed by this administration.

There are many other ongoing gas power plants in Imo State that can deliver up to 5000MW of power plus small modular refineries in that same Imo State. The Bodo-Bonny road in Rivers State is transformational. East - West Road is ongoing, phc-maiduguri rail is ongoing. Enugu-phc and Onitsha-Enugu roads are all ongoing. The $10billion NLNG Train 7 plant is ongoing in Bonny. See, if a $10bln project is cited in your region, the whole area and communities will feel the benefits of spending that huge sum of money. If not for the Southern legislators that blocked funding for the $15bln Lagos-Calabar coastal rail, that also would have been ongoing. We Southerners just like to complain daily.

Yes it only serve Northern Nigeria. The majority of gas powered plants are located in the southern region. Nigeria could have been a sweet country due to the abundance in natural and mineral resources, but our archaic leaders prefer to divide the masses with religion and tribalism for their selfish purposes. All they know is oppression and conquest. It's same mentality that our youths who are actively involved in cultism do in various higher institution. The leaders know fully well that the hen that lays the golden eggs are located in the south yet they intentionally deprive especially the south eastern region of development. No be juju and wickedness be that? Life is very simple, if you do the right things, there won't be any room for agitation and misbehavior of youths. Go to majority of the countries in Europe, the people are all happy and everyone feels carried along. Why can't we stop oppressive tendencies in our society? Must we all act unnecessary hard and wicked?

Below article provides FG's plans on tolling across the country. 12 highways across the country in the first instance.

https://www.vanguardngr.com/2021/02/fg-plans-tolling-on-12-highways/

Excerpts below:
“……Others are: Kano-Shuari, Potiskum-Damaturu, Lokoja-Benin, Enugu-Port Harcourt, Ilorin-Jebba, Lagos-Ota-Abeokuta and Lagos-Badagry-Seme Border.

The roads, according to the ministry, come under the pilot phase of the HDMI to be managed by selected private sector investors under its Value-Added Concession, VAC, arrangement.

The 12 highways according to the document reviewed by Vanguard represent merely 5.6 percent or 1,963 kilometres of the country’s 35,000 km federal highway network.

The document estimates that not less than N1.34 trillion of private sector investment would flow into the highways while no fewer than 50,000 direct jobs and 200,000 indirect jobs would be created by the concessioning of the highways to the private operators.”
