SOLUDO ASSURES UMUCHUKWU TOWN OF GOVERNMENT SUPPORT.

As Hundreds of Umuchukwu Community staged peaceful protest in Awka.

The Anambra State Government has assured the people of Umuchukwu Community in Orumba South Local government of it's commitment to expedite action over thier demand for the presentation of a certificate of recognition to their Traditional Ruler elect
Igwe Kenneth Maduka.



Chief Ernest Ezeajughi, the Chief of Staff to Prof. Charles Soludo CFR gave the assurance when he received hundreds of protesters from Umuchukwu Community who stormed the Anambra State Government House in Awka to protest against the recalcitrant attitude of few miscreants from thier community who staged a protest against the Igwe elect of their town and over the change of the name of their town from Nkerehi to Umuchukwu.



Speaking to newsmen in government House Awka, Comrade Adim Nchezo Chukwuemeka, The President General of Umuchukwu Town Union stated that Umuchukwu Community went through all known legal and judicial procedure under the government of Mr. Peter Obi who approved the change of the name of thier town and gazetted it. He further revealed that they have an appeal court judgement in thier favour which affirmed that the community went through the legal procedures before it's change of name.



The President General however bemoaned the action of same despicable elements from the community who vowed that the peaceful town will remain backward by writing petition against thier Traditional Ruler
Igwe Kenneth Maduka.



Corroborating the position of the President General of the Town, Chief Emma Ottah, A revered Stakeholder in Umuchukwu appealed to the State government to issue a certificate of recognition to thier Igwe elect Igwe Kenneth Maduka and ignore the nefarious activities of some mischief makers who vowed that thier town will remain without a government recognized Traditional Ruler.



Responding to the group which comprised on Elderly Men, Women and Youths, Hon. Ernest Ezeajughi, The Chief of Staff to the Governor commended them for thier conduct during thier peaceful protest, He assured them that the State government will take proactive action after considering thier documents which they presented to him, He however, encouraged them to support the efforts of the state government in promoting Peace, securing the lives of Ndi Anambra as the State government strives to make Anambra a liveable Homeland.

It's long overdue.

Soludo should not mess with us. Billions of naira have been invested in Umuchukwu by our sons and daughters, but the government is just playing to the gallery.

Hospitals
Magistrate court
Police Station
Civil defense post
Tared roads etc were built by our illustrious sons championed by Dr. Godwin Maduka, yet the government of Anambra keep treating the affairs of our community with utmost neglect.
