The Federal Government of Nigeria has filed a lawsuit against the Academic Staff Union of Universities. The government have requested that the Academic body should resume its activities while the issues in dispute are being addressed.

This is preposterous as the Federal government have failed to meet the demands of the body, yet demands they resume. The Nigerian government should work on other amicable ways to end the strike actions that had been ongoing for 7 months.

However, the National Industrial Court of Nigeria has adjourned the case to September 16th, 2022.
