The word is enough for the wise. Lagos is not the only state you can live. Try other states if you feel that our laws are too stringent. Thank you.

So this is how the so called Lagos generate revenue for the jagaban. After taxing companies and other private organizations and market women, wharf, schools etc you still take from people in Lagos all in the name of traffic? Decongest Lagos and gave peace. That’s all.

You can't expect a breakdown in one part and expect others to function properly. STRUCTURAL FUNCTIONALIST POINT OF VIEW.

SOCIOLOGISTS, will understand better..

They've been deceiving themselves with those laws..

Fine of N100k is more appropriate for driving against one way plus a daily demurrage of N10k. Failure to pay up within a month should then lead to forfeiture of the car.

This seem fair enough. A year imprisonment plus forfeiture of car for a first time offender is too harsh.

The law should be reviewed.

Driving against traffic is dangerous, it should only be allowed in emergency situations. Anyone nabbed doing it should be sent for evaluation in a psychiatric hospital, and banned from driving for like 10 years.

It seems nothing can be a deterrent to lawless people no matter what they stand to lose. If you know these and still in violation of them, you deserve what you get.

Not quite sir. other states don't have as much vehicular traffici like lagos. The numerous trailers, commercial vehicles and cars are enough to destroy roads quickly unlike other states.

poor maintenance and corruption is what makes lagos have such high amount of bad road everywhere. I'm not talking of under developed areas yet
We are talking about bad roads you're talking of traffic.... Traffic is caused by overpopulation, congestion of vehicles. Name 5 states with better road network expecially in the east and west.

what causes wear and tear that leads to bad roads? isn't it vehicular traffic? Lagos is obviously populated hence the bad roads which is also because of poor regular maintenance.
