Interesting stuff. Am currently rotating through pyschiatry so I can relate. Please try to visit a psychiatry hospital as soon as possible. Unfortunately many people have stigmatized "mental illness" when actually it's just some neurotransmitters in the brain malfunctioning. When you get to the hospital, you'll asked a whole of questions (they like to talk in that department ) so be prepared, they would also do mental state examination for her which is very important. From the symptoms you described, the top differentials would be a mood disorder (depression and it's like) or pyschosis (schizophrenia and it's like). Diagnosis of psychosis would depend on if she has hallucinations (visual/auditory/tactile etc) or delusions. She may be asked to do some basic tests, her past psychiatry history is also important and also family history and the likes. Treatment for most mental illnesses is usually biopsychosocial and multidisciplinary depending on the underlying cause. I hope she gets well soon, my prayers are with her but seek treatment on time before it gets worse.

It would be helpful, to note what she says, when she is alone, you can help her record it, and or note it and tell her what she was saying, if that's possible, maybe she might recall why she was speaking alone.


The problem is she does not recall what she says, and you say she is an introvert and spends time by herself, so seems her mind is creating a companion for her to play with, by chatting alone and even laughing alone, her mind has become her friend, and i wonder how rich the conversation is.

maybe not a serious issue, since she is young and it may just be a coping mechanism because She is always alone, and she is not aware, if what she is talking about, seems like stories other young ones would say to friends, might be a coping mechanism.

So She may need to have more friends, or helpful friends of her age, or she may need to do something that occupies her time, or learning something to make her time more interesting.

It is just a sign that she is always alone, isolated and not stimulated mentally and she needs to keep growing in mind, and is searching for new Information or things that it would like to do, or know, or discover.

That is a sure sign of Possession by earthbound spirits.
If she is not hearing voices then you can refer her to mental clinic

But if she is hearing voices that tell her to do certain things. Then no amount of medical science will solve it

In this context, your lived experience does not qualify you as a "specialist". In the mental health field as that is what the subject is on, for you to be addressed as a specialist, there must be extensive academic records, professional certifications gain through trainings and also board exams, clinical experience etc.........illiteracy in this context, is not knowing what you are not.

I feel your pain just advice your dad to take her to a medical health expert for quick medication like injections and some mental health drugs and make sure you are not left out if you truly love your sister, God will take control
