Lawyers in the house, I thought this case has been done and dusted in supreme court with PDP declared victorious. What is this tribunal again for the case already decided by supreme court?

That was a case filled by another PDP governorship Aspirant claiming who is the authentic candidate of PDP

APC should leave Adeleke alone. He has won the election. Let him fulfill his mandate.

Osun people have spoken loud and clear. No backdoor hijacking this time around.

Let the people's wish stand.

I pray the tribunal will resist the inevitable external influence.

They want to do another imo state.

Even where over-voting is established

Not yet established. Let's stop the social media speculations and let the tribunal do its job.

Osun has slipped off the apc's hands no doubt. Nothing lasts forever,. Tinubu's home state for that matter and that shows the majority now has a voice. Thank you buhari for signing the amended electoral act into law. Rigging which he's known for has been defeated perpetually. I still find it hard to believe the pdp defeated apc in osun, the ruling party at state and federal, even with their so-called structures. This is a proof the noise being made by urchins holds no water in the south west. If PDP didn't win osun, then oyetola is sleeping and I'm sure he'd not try that. What happened in oyo rally to the APC is another proof tinubu would lose some states here.

They said obidients were violent, blablabla. Yet, we staged peaceful rallies nationwide, the most peaceful ever grin. It was even the Obidients who were attacked here in Lagos by agberos.
For us in Osun State it’s Atiku/Okowa everywhere you go. Atiku/Okowa has come to win.

You see...I believe you jare and we're not even dragging that. Leave all these fake analysts. All we need is 25% in osun, which we can comfortably get.

With the arrogance of Tinubu and his cousin, osun state is where they will lose in SW . We are voting Atiku by God's grace

Oyetola is just fooling himself, the cases is dead on arrival. He should just accept defeat and congratulate Adeleke. The first term election Adeleke defeated him before inconclusive..

What you wrote here made me remember how David Lyon won bayelsa guber election, how the people overwhelmingly voted for him. Only for the Court to kick him out

STILL ON THE DISQUALIFICATION OF MR OYETOLA AS THE GUBERNATORIAL CANDIDATE OF THE APC.

Recall, Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court, Abuja, last Friday, declared as unconstitutional, the appointment of Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, as the acting national chairman of the APC, between June 25, 2020 and May 31, 2022.

All his actions, during that period, were also ruled null and void by Justice Nwite, invalidating in the process, the candidacy of outgoing Osun State governor, Gboyega Oyetola and his deputy, Benedict Alabi, whose nominations were signed by Buni. Though Oyetola lost his re-election, in the eye of the law, he is currently deemed not to have participated in the July 16, 2022 governorship election in the state. He has vowed an appeal.

Some reports banding around after the judgment make reference to a case between Eyitayo Jegede vs Rotimi Akeredolu. In this case, the apex court almost settled the vexed issue of Buni serving as the party chair as a sitting governor. Both jobs are considered executive in nature and Section 183 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Section 82(3) of the Electoral Act 2022, forbid such combination.

 - , . , . ’ .

Immediately after the judgement, Governor Akeredolu authored a letter to his party, demanding Buni’s removal, to curb further damage. The party, however, was adamant. Buni stayed on, and signed on the nominations of the party’s governorship candidates in Osun and Ekiti outlier elections.

Though, I am not a lawyer but application of my knowledge to the judgement shows that the apex court frowned at the Buni being an executive governor and acting chairman of his party, the APC, at the same time.

Justice Emeka Nwite's judgement has birthed another crisis in Ekiti APC. Engr. Segun Oni, SDP gov'ship candidate has approached the court to nullify the appointment of Mr Abiodun Oyebanji as the APC gubernatorial candidate, because his appointment was illegal.

Another hurdle before the APC is the composition of its National Working Committee (NWC) superintended by Buni's caretaker committee which was declared illegal by a court of competent jurisdiction, because the appointment of Buni as caretaker chairman contravened Section 183 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Section 82(3) of the Electoral Act 2022. The implication of this is that its Presidential Candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, may suffer the same setback Oyetola suffers today.

Will the APC escape the axe of the court? Only time will tell.

it is now very clear that apc is gradually loosing it's strong hold, very unfortunate for tinubu.i think by now e is beggining to understand that it's not business as usual.i think adeleke victory will prevail this time around.Immediately after the judgement, Governor Akeredolu

Continue spilling trash. Do you know a case of over voting has been established where vote casted outnumbers voter's lists? And for the high court judgement over the candidacy of oyetola, it will be nullified at the appeal court because an appeal court has earlier ruled in as much as Bumi wasn't getting paid for the party position he held, nothing can be done against his party activities. PDP only went for that cangaroo high court judgement to stop the tribunal proceedings which they believe doesn't favour them owing to the obvious over voting issue on ground
