Those Who Lost Presidential Primary Election Still In Trauma – Aisha Buhari
The First Lady of Nigeria, Mrs Aisha Buhari, has wondered why some of those who lost out in the last Presidential primary elections have remained in traumatic situations.

Aisha made the observation while recounting how devastating it was for her husband, President Muhammadu Buhari, when he was defeated three different times at the nation’s presidential polls. She spoke at the ground-breaking ceremony for the Armed Forces Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Centre, a project of the Mrs Lucky Irabor-led Defence and Police Officers’ Wives Association. Aisha explained how she had tried to reach out to those who lost out at the primary polls but hit brick walls, adding that they had been living in traumatic condition and remained incommunicado.

She wondered why politicians who lost bids to clinch their political parties’ presidential tickets should render themselves almost inconsolable and even switch off their phones till date for people not to reach them. “Failing election for three times was a big blow to every contestant but those that have contested for just yesterday, a simple primary election, they are still living in a traumatic condition. I tried to console them, I tried to talk to them, some of them have switched off their phones up till today, just because of a primary election,” she said.

If Buhari was a proper, upright, grateful, honorable politicians and dedicated Party man then only Tinubu would have been supported to become APC candidate. Same as Tinubu made sure it was only Buhari in the picture to become APC candidate in 2014.

Buhari and his Northern supremacist buddies , in their search for Southern stooges, caused this situation where a few butterflies fancying themselves as birds are now acting up like scorned divas and sabotaging what should be a united and focused effort for the ruling Party to retain power.

What insult? Amaechi who confesses he is afraid to step into his own State because of Wike? Is that the person who wants to lead Nigeria?

Meanwhile who can challenge the undisputed champion Jagaban in his own State of Lagos? First conquer your local government and State before aspiring to be President.

Most politicians today are just empty barrels and attention-seekers lacking substance and real capacity.

Our dear Vice President is on this table. He was even admitted into hospital for emergency surgery after the primary election. We’re glad he’s better now.

Amaechi, Ogbonnaya Onu and Nwajiuba’s cases are more pathetic. They didn’t just lose the ticket, they lost their plum ministerial jobs. How they allowed people around the president to scam them with the promise of consensus ticket to the extent of resigning their jobs is still a mystery to me.

Ahmed Lawan is the worst. He didn’t just lose the ticket, he lost a very good friend in Tinubu and then lost his Senate seat. To rub it all in, those who promised him the presidential ticket are now in bed with Tinubu and some like Orji Uzor Kalu are now positioning themselves to take over his job. It will take a lot of time for him to heal.

Amechi is the worst loser. He invested more in APC than any of the rest aspirants who lost out.

Mrs Aisha Buhari, your husband should have reappointed them back to their ministerial positions they resigned to contest presidential primary. This would have gone a long way to address the issue.

The fact that they weren't reappointed shows that Buhari has utmost disdain and scorn for these guys. He knew their machinations and how they were being played against each other, giving them false hopes. So in a sense he was using them to catch sadistic cruise.

Some of you just open your mouth to talk the most senseless garbage? Am I a politician to have "eaten" Amaechi's money abi which presidential ticket was I in charge of selling?

Even as an APC Party supporter, I have never backed Amaechi. Someone who cannot control the politics of his State has no right aspiring to be President because he would be hard to sell and promote at national level.

Amaechi and co are just acting like spoilt brats. Is Tinubu their mate or, per status, their boss? How is it offensive for them to lose to Tinubu? What has Tinubu not invested in people and politics? What exactly have Osinbajo, Amaechi etal invested to expect Nigeria's top job be handed to them on a gold platter?

Who knew Umahi or Osinbajo, at national level, before their current offices? Can Amaechi even tackle Wike before wanting to take on Tinubu? Abeg let them swallow their ego , stop acting like babies and work for their Party's candidate

Buhari is callous and nonchalant like that. He has single-handedly weakened and ruined APC many toiled to give strenght and make the ruling Party of the biggest black nation on Earth.

On the plus side, Buhari has taught the South a very bitter but much needed lesson which is that they should have stopped propping up 'one Nigeria', benefitting mainly the North, a long time ago.

If we had regional governance then Tinubu and Co would not have had to go into alliance with Buhari only to then be betrayed and demeaned by Mr.President and his pro-North cabal.
