These stats don't illustrate the stark reality on the ground, how many Igbos are educated?, these are biased and tribal-oriented stats, the Yorubas are the most educated in this country, in terms of the population you won't find a family in Yorubaland without an at least secondary certificates but you can find whole family members from the east selling spare part in Lagos without even a primary school certificate all in the guise of an apprentice.

How many Igbos are educated ? ...
Let's take university students as a case study
...the number of Igbos in South west universities , and number of Yorubas in South east universities which is more ?

Let's take south South ...who have more universities student between Igbos and Yorubas ?

Let's take middle belt ...who has more students ?

Core north between Igbos and Yorubas who has more students ?

It's obvious Igbos are more educated than Yorubas ...yes there was a time Yorubas used to lead but Igbos have taken over

Igbo have really done well. They took over in education since 90's and I don't see any tribe overtaking them so soon especially now education is very expensive and they have the highest number of middle income earners.

I am not surprised, the OP must be an IPOB apologist. Tell him to publish the percentage of men as well. I am sure Igbo will carry last. The trend in Igboland is that men dont go to school anymore. They become apprentice as early in the lives because they want to make money. While the women go to school so that they can catch the spareparts dealer as ATM husband. I have seen an igbo lady doctor marrying a spareparts dealer who is illiterate but stinkingly rich. Thats the trend in Igboland. Go to their universities, you will see classrooms full of females, all the men are learning business so that they can get rich quick.

This is parts of what lead to the bitter hatred Yorubas have against the great Igbo nations.

This is not true. Even Igbo businessmen today go to school first before taking over family business or establishing theirs. Igbo men go to school as much as Igbo women, if not more.

Statistics from a country with no database lipsrsealed
A country that doesn't know its population.

A country where any black African can enter Nigeria, do BVN, NIMC and get our International passport once you have the cash. Yet, we are taking its STATS seriously?

Serious countries have a great database of its citizens and visitors. They use statistics generated for proper planning.

STATs in Nigeria are just mental estimates and the best they can do is to massage our ethnic egos and useless tribal braggings.

It's not everything you view from tribal lens. Igbo, Edo, and Ibibio women are far more educated than their Yoruba counterparts.

Please shut up!!! You can’t deceive me. I schooled in the east. This is a trend that has been noticed for over 30 years. Go to Aba or Onitsha or any major city and check the classrooms. Over 90% are girls. Boys are in the shops learning buying and selling.

that's the level of ignorance in Nigeria, according to them an Igbo man who sells spare parts or other goods isn't educated. In a country where jobs are unavailable

For somebody to be educated such a person needs to be very much aware. Ignorance also shows lack of quality education or no education at all.
