Groundnut soup is yummy if well made. A Ghanaian friend made me try it with fufu and now I make it better. It goes well with rice or amala, not good with eba. I think I will be making it today.

Back then in village there is this comrade among us that goes around turning up stones looking for scorpion.

He always cut off there venom and carry them around alive and then later he will eat them raw saying that scorpions will be scared to sting you if you eat It. That's how I was tempted to eat the leg.

The stranget thing I was closed to eating long time ago was goat meat. We never ate goat meat growing up just beef and chicken. I still don't like goat meat. All the sallah meat given to my granny was always smoked dried. She never cooked any of them over the stove, so I didn't see the inside pink like that I didn't know meat can be pink inside soup and then in what I now know to be bitterleaf, so we thought it was human flesh because of the person and we created a scene and probably an embarrassment for him. I still ask God to forgive me anytime I remember.

I've never been ajebutter, real ajepaki here. Goat meat wasn't something commonly eaten in Yoruba households back then, most goats were used by babalawos, maybe now that the standards have been lowered but I still don't like it.
