Dear North, to keep Nigeria united and give the country fresh opportunity to restart, DO NOT VOTE APC & PDP. Now, the issue is not these parties, but their presidential candidates.

Now let me say this as many have been shying away from it. No part of Nigeria really want to leave the union called Nigeria. However, if people are in a marriage relationship, where one part has been compromising to keep the marriage for 62 years without reciprocation from other partners, a time comes when that compromising part looks at him/herself in the mirror and conclude, "You know what, this is not working".

We all know that the North cherishes the continued cirporate and indivisible Nigeria. The agitations for self determination in the SE cannot and should not be wished away. It is real and it is capable of destroying Nigeria. Because when a people is determined on a course of action, it is a matter of time before the shout "uhuru". By which time the damages would take years to repair. See what has befallen Ethiopia now. Such is avoidable.

When Obaseki said Nigeria will break if APC wins presidency in 2023, he did not lie. This is a prophetic declaration and only the wise and discerning got it. In the 62 years of Nigeria existense the North have ruled for 43 years, while the South have ruled for 19 years. Under the current democratic dispensatuon, the South have ruled for 14 years while the North would have done 10 years by May 2023.

Now down South, the SW had it for 8 years and had VP for another 8 years, while the SS was there for 6 years. In all of the 63 years in discussion, the SE (Igbos) have only been in government for about 2 years. That is to say of the four major tribes in Nigeria, only the Igbos have been deprived of the opportunity to lead Nigeria. This is absurd, wicked and dangerous to the continuing corporate existense of Nigeria.

Going into 2023, the Nigerian nation and especially the North have the opportunity to permanently assuage this agitations and kill the Biafra agitation by supporting an Igbo presidency. Going down memory lane, the North supported OBJ, a South Westerner in order to assuage the SW over MKO June 12, 1993. That singular action put NADECO to bed and history. Hence the North should quickly galvanise support for the LP candidate, Peter Obi.

The APC is not good for Nigeria unity as the agitation for Biafra would intensify. The current unrest is still being curtailed because the elites and political class are hoping for a rethink by other Nigerians. If you noticed, the key political actors from the SE are NOT in support of Tinubu's presidency. Moreover, a Tinubu led Nigeria would crumble with an intensified Biafra agitation. Mark it, Nigeria will break up in less than 3 years if APC retains power or military will take over to avoid the anarchy that would follow

As for the PDP, Atiku would be incapable of pulling together a unified Nigeria, coming on the heels of another Northerner, Muhammadu Buhari. Also, I am not discounting the religious implication of muslims ruling for 24 consecutive years. It is a no brainer

If the North desires a continued corporate existence of Nigeria, the option is to support Peter Obi. This will do three things.

1. Give the Igbos the sense of belonging in Nigeria. With that 90% of the agitatirs will down tools. Both political and religious leaders will rally round the governnent.

2. Obi being a frugal adninistrator and personality would command the support base of mainky youths thus bringing down cost of governance by 50%, which would be channelled towards the productuve sectors of the economy.

3. Nigeria will breath fresh air of growth, developmebt and accomplishment as the leader of Africa States. Command respect international curcle.

However, if we miss this opportunity as a nation, just expect another Yugoslavia in Africa.

A word is enough for the wise!

2023 is a defining moment for Nigeria. It's either Obi wins or Biafra leaves Nigeria, one must happen!

Do not say you did not see it coming!

What are you saying We should vote Peter Obi abi, so Nigeria won't breakup?? O n pe..

When the Igbos are busy drumming for war, and making enemies upandan, where are you?? Do people not warn them?

You want the same Northerners you so much despise, and have been killing in the East to Vote for you.?

All the killings of Northerners that have passed without reprisal, you think it's just for show ? The North is simply waiting at the Polls, they will speak to you in the Language you understand.

Better take your Biafra and go, because you can never bully anyone into giving you the Presidency.

First off, you are not even part of the audience being addressed in the write up.

It is a simple matter. It is the turn of the Igbos. If we trully want a nation where peace and progress will reign, this is just the TRUTH. Afenifere sees it, Northern Elders Forum sees it, Ohaneze sees it, even Middle Belt and Niger Delta elders know this. It is only myopic online rants thar have nothing that would want the country destroyed.
Again, it is not blackmail. It is a political solution. It was the same political solution that brought forth Olu Falae and OBJ in 1999.

Nigeria is on a precipice and I gave you the solution. Take it or leave it. But be prepared for the consequences of your choice and it would not be online. If the fire ignites, no Tinubu or Atiku can douse it.

He's whining up emotional Binis and Igbos to form their country if APC won. He performs poorly in every ramification. Obaseki has nothing to offer but to hide under emotions and sentiments.

Only the gullible ones and failure like him would fall for his gimmick. A dictator and failed governor that denied some consistencies their representatives. It's no longer 'Edo no be Lagos' it's now 'no more Nigeria if APC won.' He thinks every Nigerian reason like Edo or Ipob people.

So you are saying another campaign strategy for Peter Obi is Awalokan. It is now the turn of the Igbo? If that is the case then Obi is not coming to take back Nigeria for the youths but rather to represent the interests and rights of a region. And the OBIDIENT movement promoting him is either not sincere or being fooled enmasse.

Historically, the North has reasons to be suspicious of the South East. In the lead up to the independence, Ahmadu Bello and the North advocated for a loose federation where any region can pull out if they so desire. Awo and the West advocated for a Federation while Zik and the East advocated for a Unitary Government for Nigeria.
At the end of the day, Nigeria started as a Federation of the three regions. In those early day, the East dominated the civil service in the Northern region and key positions at the national level.

In February 1966, shortly after the January 1966 coup that brought Aguiyi Ironsi to power, Isaac Adaka Boro,an Ijaw man from the South-South declared the secession of the Niger Delta Republic from Nigeria because he believed the Eastern region and the Federal Government were unduly benefiting from the resources of the Niger Delta at the expense of his people. The rebellion which lasted for about 12 days was crushed under Aguiyi Ironsi who turned Nigeria into a Unitary Government in fulfilment of the desires of Zik and the East at the inception of the country. The colouration of the 1966 coup from the instigators to the casualties and the actions of Ironsi in handling matters subsequently lead to the counter coup and eventual pogrom in the North that precipitated the attempted secession of Biafra Republic and the Civil War.

As can be seen, the Igbo when they had power, arguably brought upon us the disastrous Unitary Government that has been operating in Nigeria till date and which has made the center exceptionally strong and which the North have subsequently taken undue advantage of. The Igbo were also some of the key architects of the situation that birthed the Biafra secession and the Civil War, while silencing the rights and voices of the minorities in crushing the Niger Delta Republic's secession attempt well before their own Biafra attempt. Surprisingly, their Biafra Republic unwittingly lumped the Niger Delta Republic and minorities in their secession map without proper considerations for those people.

Today the Igbo are in the forefront of the cry of marginalization in a Unitary Government that they arguably created and agitations for a Biafra Republic that has not taken into consideration the rights of the minorities within the republic.

What has changed in the attitude of the Igbo to the Nigerian ensemble to warrant them justifiably saying it is their turn at the center or Nigeria breaks?
